Real time idle game? Basically a way to control how much you play and make the game play you instead of you play the game. I personally wouldn't play a game like this. It reminds me of old Ark Survival evolved where you had to have a tribe member on all the time to watch over your assets. No game is worth this kind of commitment in my opinion.

As for the TV series, I didn't hate the last season. It was ok. When they ran out of books I felt the writers were just giving fans what they thought they wanted, including the favored Jon Snow a resurrection (that was a stretch).

i made it through the first season of the leftovers, i found it boring, not intense. some day i will watch the rest.

If you made it through the first season, you really should do yourself a favor and watch the rest. When I wrote "intense", I definitely wasn't referring to the pacing! The first season was slow and I can see how some found it "boring". I have a few friends who dropped out for that reason. The pacing worked for me, but slow, cerebral stories don't turn me off in general.

The second and third seasons are very different from the first. We get some great new characters, new locations, and, while the spirit of the first season is never lost, the show changes a lot. The second season is spectacular. And the third season does a masterful job of pulling it all together. It's hard to end a show and I honestly can't think of a show that ended in a more satisfying way than The Leftovers. For me the final revelation was a true surprise, yet made such perfect sense that I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it all along. I was also very happy with the conclusion of each character's arc. Nothing felt out of place at the end. Everything felt just right.

I’ve played real time idle game and this one is more like... when you’re playing, it’s “real time” or it takes time for certain long tasks to play out. BUT, if you ignore it for awhile, it freezes once the last activity is done and just doesn’t progress. You’re not forced to continue checking back with it or suffer massive defeat. I had thought that might be the case, but, as it is, when I have a spare moment, I check in to see how my rangers are doing, answer their questions, send off the ravens then go do something else.

Now, I don’t know ANYTHING about GoT, so I don’t know if any of what I’m seeing would elicit a blind rage from folks. I have NO idea if fans of GoT would enjoy it, but I like it. :)

there was a notable downturn in quality when they ran out of books to guide them by the hand and they had to rely on crib notes amongst George’s shopping lists and Starbucks receipts.

Oh, so that explains Daenerys' cup of coffee in S8 episode 4. D&D must have though the starbucks coffee was essential to explain why Bran was the obvious choice for king.

yeah. i keep hearing this so i'm looking forward to it. will need a recap tho. same with The Expanse. I made it through season 1 but i felt that was just a bad show in line with SyFy shows. i will definitely finish leftovers.

I love the Expanse. I think the first season was better than your typical SyFy show, but I hear you. It had its faults. The crime/noir storyline often felt a bit cheesy. That said, it just gets better and better. I think it really finds its footing in season 2. I'm very happy that Amazon rescued it. Season 4 was awesome. It's probably the most realistic sci-fi show about space travel and exploration and where we might be in 200 years...if we don't destroy ourselves first.

You can turn notifications off and just open the app once a day and do the commands. So not really an issue.

In which case the entire point of the game being real time based is lost so why bother? You aren’t getting the full game experience without notifications, and notifications are a deal killer for me, ergo this game is no go for me. I’m well aware of this “workaround”, but like I said, why bother at that point?

LOST is my most hated show of all time. By the end, it felt like the writers and producers were just abusing anyone stupid enough to still be watching. That last season...and the final explanation...beyond terrible. I used to think unforgivable, but then Lindelof gave us The Leftovers and all was forgiven. Unlike LOST, The Leftovers ended brilliantly. One of the best shows ever made. You just have to make it through the intense first season.

Oh yeah...GOT. Yawn. The last two seasons were garbage. I’ve pretty much forgotten that show and have no interest revisiting it or anything related to it.
Thank you for the tip. Been looking for a quality show to check out. The leftovers seems to be it 😀.

I was looking forward to i phone Xs X Cloud Gaming -seems it's not going to happen.
Doesn't stop me purchasing next gen Console, though disappointing.
/s just in case other people didn’t pick up on the sarcasm

but yea super disappointing. It’s enough to make me switch back to android.

I’d gladly buy the game outright if it were available, but I’m not subscribing to play it. I don’t want to rent my games.

GoT was doomed when Weiss and Benioff decided to "tone down" the fantasy elements (and replace them with excessive sex scenes and violence??) to "reach a wider audience" .. See that's when you start picking at a thing's "soul" in order to make it sell better... you lose integrity. But meh, for me... I've always seen GoT as a "wOW gUIzE DRrAGonS aNd SEx TogETheR! CRaZy!! My CHilDhooD aND MY ADulTHooD TOGeetheR? MInD BLoWn!! BEsT ShOW/WriTING EVVURRR!11!"

(calm down guys, this last bit is hyperbolic/ bit tongue in cheek ;P )

Drakengard 3 did it much, much better. Oh right but video game stories are niche and not worth it, I forget 🙄.. (Even though George RR Martin is (supposedly, since he loves his breaks) working on a Elden Ring's (a game) lore right now..

Just a small tip if you wanted to try it out. It seems this game is not for you which is completely your choice of course😁

Would have been really cool if it was released anytime before the Final Season of GoT Kicked Off, which was more OR less a complete disaster !

GoT was a "Best Ever Series" up until the Final Season !

Seriously they have Snow kill his niece/lover Daenerys and the dragon burns the thrown. Ridiculous

is this what makes it a bad season? i haven't seen the last one yet but i really don't care who gets the throne.

what makes it bad is that it was rushed so much that plot points don’t make sense at all

GRRM told them how plots ended and the ‘DnD’ duo took the shortest route to get those ends and even took the liberty of changing some significant plots.Season 7 and 8 are not GRRM’s vision at all.

tried to explain without spoilers since you haven’t seen the last season
