The article says “multiplayer with friends”. I’m still confused by the Apple Arcade descriptions of games. Does this mean I can play split screen on my TV with other people in the same room, or does this game require multiple devices with Apple Arcade accounts?

Seems to be the latter. No split screen option when I tried to look for it the other day.

Diminished Glutes and the Gay Rodeo.

Needs Boomhauer and his Super Bee

If they weren’t able to secure rights from the Murphy estate they should have just left Luanne out and replaced her with Boomhauer or Kahn. It’s pointless to have her if you can’t hear any of her quips. Everyone else’s quips seem to be lifted from the show.

But why the auto accelerate?

I think it could be better with some tweaks.
And no local co-op? Need more local co-op games.

I need a brake button for the courses without barriers, after a drift earned boost, careening off the stage seems to be my specialty 😂

Agree on the more tweaks as well or character specific weapons/abilities. I’ve already maxed out Hank Hill.

Also agree about the local co-op.

Apple’s not wooing console gamers, even though some of the Apple Arcade games ARE on consoles. They’re wooing the “don’t want to deal with IAP” people. That’s not a whole lot of people compared to the over 6 billion people in the world, but there’s enough people willing to spend a few bucks every month as a known amount than to see big IAP charges show up to make it worth Apple’s while.
This.

While far from a perfect I do appreciate having access to some games which don't constantly require IAPs or ads. I likely wouldn't pay for Apple Arcade as a standalone product, but we have :apple:One.

Apple Arcade needs a LOT more Splitscreen / Miultiplayer / Party Games.

Apart from SongPop Party I didn't find a good party game yet.

Looking for a Trivia game, looking for a Karaoke game, looking for a Geography Game, looking for a "Mini Game" - Game (multiple little mini games, like Mario Party but without that stupid board)... Any ideas?

4 players AppleTV fun: Chronos Dungeon (4 players), NBA 2k22, Tini Wings+, Badlanland party (4 players), SonPop Party (4 players), Crossy Road Castle (the most fun, 4 players), Pac-man party Royale (4 players), Cricket through the Ages, Nickelodeon Tennis, and many others

Wake me when they make Simpsons kart racing game. Or even Futurama now that their cast and crew is all back together.
On a related note, they have some Animation Domination Card Game on Steam. It's fun for the novelty, but the idea of that game is you eventually fill your deck with such powerful cards that you steamroll your opponents.

For those wondering if AA is right for them, I will tell them to not make it purely about the numbers. You just need to find 1 or few games that pique your interest, and that could be all the justification one needs to get in! And at $5 a month, included as part of A1 (assuming you use enough of it to justify its cost), or Costco now having annual subs for $45 (as low as $3.56 per month after Costco Visa cash back + executive membership!), it's very affordable.

OTOH, can't ignore the number of games either. Just by logic, if a platform has a lot of games, there's a chance that they're more likely to find enough to suit their tastes. And some of the games can count as "multiple" since they have much more content than than simpler ones. In this case, they're right to scoff at even the paltry $5 a month sub fee.
