There will be plenty of aftermarket options in time, and some will be better than what Apple offers. I'm looking forward to quality leather straps

Apple isn't offering quality leather straps?

Google panerai images , you will know what I mean by quality aftermarket straps.

Also untill I see an apple watch in person, dury is out about the quality of the strap

No way.

They're crappy knockoffs. I'm not going to buy one of these and have it fall off my wrist because I was cheap with the band. Not critical of your enthusiasm... more like worried that you'll be on here later telling everyone that you lost your watch because of a cheap band. :(

I'll wait for the more reputable companies to offer bands, if Apple even allows this to happen, which we really don't know yet.

They aren't even showing the actual product. They swiped those from Apple. That's a bad sign.

I will agree with you on the metal bands, we will have to see . But really how much cheaper can the rubber sport band be, Apple doesn't produce its own rubber:)

I will totally wait for reviews on third party bands. I've seen some great knockoffs (that likely came from the production line) and some really bad ones. There's no way to know, especially when they use the stock photos.

But yet everyone assumes there's going to be quality 3rd party bands because?

This is a dangerous game you are playing here.

It took years for Apple and Ive to design this. They thought about the best materials etc. Save up and enjoy AW ... the real thing!

You will get craps that you will regret even paying a cent and trusting ****** and deceitful copycat companies like this.

Are you saying that there won't be any quality third party bands? Of course there will be, if the market's there than companies like Vaja etc or even designer brands will make straps.

Whether they'll cost less than Apple's offerings or not is a slightly different matter.

Most likely those will be disgusting low quality knock offs, but people are stupid, and will retain the stolen image that's on Amazon.

Like McDonald's burgers, amazing on the picture, not so amazing in real life...

Cause Apple is pushing this as a high end watch.

It's what happens in high end watches ;) so is it a high end watch or not? And changing straps on an apple watch is so easy!!!

No I'm just curious why people seem to have a 'wait and see' attitude with Apple's bands but not with third party bands. I'm not convinced that there will be high-quality third-party bands that are really cheap. If you want something high-quality you'll be paying for it.

Yeah, well those high-end bands aren't going to be cheap.

Anyway, I think anyone who buys a 3rd party band sight unseen (in this case drawn to 'they look just like Apple's but are half the price!') deserves what they get. And I have a feeling what they get isn't going to match the quality of Apple's or any other high end band.
