This could make sense. Or "whole new world" meaning a whole new iOS, built from the ground up like they did with Snow Leopard, with a more open API and the like.

Snow Leopard was based on Leopard, Leopard was based on Tiger, Tiger was based on Panther...

Looks like those app icons have rounded corners. Other MR article speculated they were going to square corners. I get the feeling nobody really knows.

I wonder if that's a reference to developing countries, where Apple hasn't made strong inroads and where they're supposed to be bringing the low-cost iPhone.

Unless they are going to ask folks to create cheap versions of their apps to run on the cheap iPhone then it's unlikely that is what they are talking about. Because it's not a developer issue

Reading over some of these comments is giving me quite a chuckle, with all the different ideas of what the poster could be 'hinting'.

I'm half expecting a 'Half Life 3 confirmed' comment :D

On a serious note, I'm properly excited for WWDC.

New development technologies

As I understand "Where A Whole New World's Developing", it is to mean that iOS development is going to be opened up to a whole new world of developers. You will now be able to build native apps using only Javascript.

"Developing" in the tagline, with overlapping colors as a theme makes me think that there will some sort of photography announcement.

That banner clearly indicates Apple's getting rid of the grid-locked apps on iOS 7, now your apps will just sit jumbled in a pile at the bottom of the screen

Edit: Where a whole new world is developing; intriguing tagline. I suspect it means that the ATV will get its own App store; the new colour icons symbolise new apps for the ATV.

This would be awesome if true, but I doubt it. :( You never know, though... I did just read the article about Time-Warner Cable getting on board with ATV, and the CW Network joined not too long ago. Maybe there are other deals going on under-the-table that we don't know about?

I'm pretty sure the tech-blog world will have a collective aneurysm if Apple doesn't revamp the look of iOS though.

Has there been any word if the keynote will be streamed on AppleTV like the last product launch?

The article states that the tagline is 'Where a whole new world's developing' but the graphic actually says 'Where a whole new world is developing'. Which actually reads a lot better. Might want to correct that?

A dazzling place i never knew

I immediately thought of Aladdin also! Haha

I don't want to drastic an overhaul of the ios interface style. I want more of a new paint and carpet not a knock down walls renovation.

Perhaps a whole new world developing means Apple's walled garden won't be so walled.

Actually, most of Snow Leopard was recoded for efficiency. It may have been 'based' off Snow Leopard design but it was reworked.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Snow_Leopard

But you said it was "Built from the ground up", then you said it was "based off Leopard design". These contradict each other, so which one is it? Your initial statement was false.

Also, the software in Snow Leopard was extensively re-written, most of the OS was updated as usual and stripped of POWERPC code.

transparent colourful apps shape in the banners. could be that the leak ios 7 with flatter icons might be true.

excited about this event :D
