CoronaVirus can live on surfaces for several days so I'd choose the slowest delivery option just to be cautious.

Coronavirus is everywhere but China now.

I expect that when they finally build another factory in the US, it’s going to be very highly automated - lots of robots industrial robots and only a handful of workers. And they’ll put them not just here, but lots of places - North America, South America, Europe, etc. gets around lots of import tariffs and such, and helps if a continent becomes temporarily troublesome (doesn’t help as much if everywhere becomes troublesome like now). More resilient - the solution isn’t to move from China to one other place, it’s to move from China to every place. It's time we move all production from China back to the U.S. to avoid supply china interruptions because... 'Merica. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I'm holding off until I hear if the bending issues have been resolved.
There's a sticky pinned in the iPad section. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-pros-bending-issue-merged.2052189/unreadWhat bending issues?
Alternatively, you could wash your hands thoroughly after opening the package.I'll be honest. I'm not buying the new MacBook Air right now solely because if I did I wouldn't touch the package for a month out of an abundance of caution (if something is wrong with my item I like finding out the day of delivery and returning immediately). I'm doing that with all of my domestic packages, too. I know - most likely overkill, but better safe than sorry.
Mines still showing processing but I’m not sure it means anything. My Apple Pencil 2 is also showing at shipped as of today but it has been on my table since Thursday. The tracking system is extremely out of sync.I ordered mine but it is still in processing. I see a lot of comments about waiting for this and that.
Well I decided to jump in on a 128G 11" Wifi Pro because I REALLY need a new iPad as my current one is several years old and limited to iOS12.
More importantly because the US$ is surging in value against all other currencies and I'm buying now before Apple raises its prices outside of the US. That and availability. This could go the same way as the AirPods when they first launched with up to 3 months waiting given how much down time there's been in China.
Maybe I shouldn't unwrap it and see what I can get for it at the end of April...
I hope you're joking!

You really believe the ministry of misinformation? Even their own citizens don't.
Some strains of CoronaVirus have been shown to live up to five days on plastic, glass and metal (non-copper) surfaces and that's not factoring in new mutations.
Only thing that seems to be effective to shorten the life (~4 hours vs ~3-5 days) is switching to copper based materials for products. Jet cockpits have gold coating for defrosting so wonder if they can do anti-viral copper coating on glass.
Leaving alone the "ministry of misinformation", the people handling the package in your country are more likely to infect it than anyone in China.
