The bloom.fm App is lovely to use, I think they have made something I actually want to use. I personally still like to buy the music I want but can't say I'd really notice or mind spending £12/year on this.

ABC on NBC advertising is completely irrelevant in this case because Apple is not a media company. But to answer Yes to your question they advertise each other shows on late night talks shows.

Apple is the IT company that became monopolists in handheld branch and it used it's monopolistic position to acquire another monopoly in advertising space on handheld devices. Seems like pretty basic anti-trust case, the only problem is if they can really prove that Apple is the monopolist in handhelds.

This is just not a problem with Apple, its a problem with any other IT giant that its using its monopoly position to blackmail users. For example Google who owns absolute streaming video emperor YouTube is refusing to release an app on Window Phone devices while Microsoft is doing the same to Google by not giving them a fair EAS licensing plan for their webmail.

These companies are so ripe to be shredded apart by anti-trust commission but big money talks and now they became a backbone of economy so anyone that hits them hard like they deserve to be hit hard will probably be hanged at the Times Square.

Bottom line is, the only ones who are taking the hit are consumers. So where is our government to say "Hey Google! You own video streaming space of this world so you have to make a YouTube app available on all current living app dependent OSes, even on Tizen!"

Just go and ask what happens to your cable company when they pull out the local channel off their channel listing. They can't even do that. Same should be applicable to Apple and their media space.

Just read an article on this on another site and the quote from bloom.fm states they are not going to complain about this to the relevant body. That alone just sounds dodgy to me. If they've genuinely been wronged, then surely they should take it further. Although Apple's silence isn't helping them either.

Or they realize that the court costs would outweigh the benefit. Doesn't mean the complaint is dodgy.
