Don't you think this takes the piss a bit? Put yourself in the position of apple, why should you provide a new sealed product to a customer who intends to return it in a couple of weeks, this is retail not rental![/QUOTE

Don't you have better things to with your time Leroy?

To answer tou lameassed question, If they would have had orange on launch day I would have bought them just like I would have bought a white iPhone but they did not have that either so he'll yea I'll do whatever I have to do to protect the phone and get a decent signal untill the company gets their act together.
People with a these holier than now attitudes need to get a life.

Ordered two bumpers...one black and one blue. They came separately a day apart a few days ago. I haven't yet taken them out of the box but once I get home tomorrow night I will check them out.

Your parents have failed so I won't blame you. What they should have taught you is that if what you want is not available then you should wait until it is.

I understand that you want to protect the phone but why not buy one of the cheaper alternatives to use until such time that the case that you want is available.

Certainly.

You can't really tell anything visually (and I didn't really give the blue proper lighting in these pictures). They look the same, but the black's rubber is definitely more grippy.

What's wrong with your iPhone 4 screen? It's got no contrast or brightness. Surely you're not using an Anti-Glare on the beautiful Retina Display???

Was the "secret case" for the prototype iPhone that Gizmodo got ahold of basically a bumper?

The only thing "lameassed" is your sense of entitlement.

Nope, no AG or any sort of screen protector on there...it's probably just my poor photography skills. I keep my brightness turned down to 40-45% (w/ Auto Brightness On).

Shots 1 & 2 may have been taken when the screen was auto-dimmed after some period of idleness.

Don't worry - the screen looks gorgeous in person.

Ya I know how you feel I married my wife with the intent of divorcing for a prettier one once they got one in. NO WONDER apple charges a 10% restocking fee.

They didn't charge me a restocking fee to return my week old bumper.

Can someone please post a reception test with the two different Bumpers so we can have more threads on that issue with a new twist? The reception posts are slowing down a bit.

I can also confirm that the black ones are more rubbery gripy feeling. I don't like it due to always catching on to my jeans.

I have the orange and blue ones and they are smooth as plastic. It's rubber still, it's just not gripy.

Can anyone confirm that the white is smooth too? I'm thinking every color is smooth and the black is the only one that has a grip feel.

I completely agree with this. It's ridiculous to hear that people feel entitled to buy something, use it for a period of time and then when they are done using it, return it...and not because something is wrong with the product or you've changed your mind, but because all along your intent was not to keep it.

Kind of like buying a shirt, or a book, or a car and then returning it after two weeks when you're done with it? I agree with another previous poster, retail stores are not in the business of renting their products to you.

Don't sell yourself short, those photos are very good. Did you use a real camera or an iPhone?

The pics were taken with a Canon 20D. One day the iPhone 12 will take pictures just as well :)

I guess the pictures aren't all that bad...the main issue was the bright blue was being overexposed when sitting next to the black. I don't know all that much about the proper settings to use to adjust, and I was also trying to get the pictures up ASAP so I could return the blue.

On that note, still enjoying the black bumper. The slight grip is an absolute must for me and the bumper is doing its job well so far (elevating the phone ever so slightly on flat surfaces). The only issue I'm having is that like other threads have mentioned, aftermarket cables with the larger, usually spring-loaded connectors don't fit with the Bumper on.

I know Incase is going to come out with something really sweet (they just tweeted today that info is coming next week about iP4 cases), but this Bumper is working for now. I'm satisfied enough, despite paying $29 and change for plastic.

Yeah apple charges 10% restocking fee wife charges 50%!!!!!!!!! I guess Apple is more generous.

Im about to get married and am scared as hell.

the white is definitely smooth compared to the rubber on the black bumper. i also find it to be a bit more loose than the black one. i like the white one better but prefer the texture/fitment of the black one more.

Agree, the edges of the black one has a grippier rubber. I have an orange one and I can definitely tell the difference. I actually like the less tacky feel of the colored one, but the fit is not as true as the black.
