No. It is well engineered and is similar to a Speck Candyshell case (hard and soft bits). It fits, covers what it's supposed to and doesn't what it's not. There are dollar cases and imitation bumpers floating around that demonstrate poorly designed/made products.
Haha, you're only fooling yourself for buying an overpriced $30 peice of rubber.

i have tried the griffin reveal (24.99 - it's garbage... don't recommend), incipio edge slider (29.99 - very nice but it has qc issues... probably first batch) and i currently have the luxe lean (24.99 - this one is nice too but i'm not really happy with the color selection and the slits on the sides) and while i feel the bumper should be sold for less, it seriously has a higher quality feeling than the other 3 i've tried, especially when it's actually on the phone.

i mean it just feels like it's really part of the phone. i actually had the bumper first but i returned it in hopes for a white one (also gave me a reason to try other cases lol). in hindsight i should have kept it but doesn't matter now since i got the bumper again for free this time :)

can't wait for my sgp carbon pack to come so i can finally put the bumper back on lol.

Just got off the phone with Apple and they can't explain why some people who ordered their bumper after me have had theirs since late last week/early this week, and mine hasn't even shipped yet. Nor could they do anything about it, but I was reassured that it would be in well before the expected date of Sept 2nd.

Verizon doesnt...

How do you figure? I just bought a plastic case for my Droid X that was 29.99, the cases they had for less than 20 were all junk.

I bought a silicone case for 14.99 that fits like a loose bag and is going back today.
