Apple couldn't verify my email....so they cancelled my order.
That's a bummer, and not diminish your frustration but we do seem to see this occur a number times each release of the iPhone. I know that doesn't help, but its just one of those issues that occur apple's side and there's not much you can do.

Mine got cancelled too :/
Turns out mine wasn’t cancelled, just lost for a while. I apparently put in my work pager instead of my phone number so it didn’t get linked to my account properly. I called and was able to get it sorted out.

Checking out as a guest is not what I would recommend.

Always make sure all is ok in your Apple account days before. Make sure your credit card you are going to use is valid and has the same address as you want your phone shipped to. Everything has to match or it could get kicked out.

They canceled my T-Mobile X for no reason and when I called, they told me everything looked alright on their end. I checked with my bank, verified my shipping and billing info, and made sure there was enough on the card. I had a November 3 delivery, too...

I only bought one and was having it charged and shipped to the same address I always use for payments. They said they will investigate it, but I lost my place and now have 5-6 weeks :(

How did they try to verify it? I mean did they even send you an email to call them up? Seems a bit harsh to just cancel w/o giving you a chance to verify? You should send a short email to Tim Cook -- it will go to executive customer service, not Tim Cook.

Another one of just got bumped due to your misfortune! :D

Man that sucks :( Hopefully apple can do something for you?

The Apple rep and I looked at the information and verified that it's the same information I always use to place orders, both from Apple and from elsewhere. We also confirmed that the shipping and billing address matched. I also checked my card balance. When I called the bank, I asked if there were any holds on Apple orders and they said everything looks good -- it must be on Apple's end. They could see that there was a charge that was shortly thereafter reversed.

Apple didn't even send an email. I only found out because I checked my orders hoping for a shipping update.

Contacting Tim is a great idea. I actually sent him an email last night and am eagerly awaiting his reply.

Early this morning, Apple cancelled the second iPhone order I placed, that one that had a confirmed 12/11-18 delivery date. My reservation from my original 12:11 am order is showing as valid but no confirmation email has come through yet.

I have no idea what the hell is going on.

I wasn't able to get the Apple app to load and so checked out as a guest and thus mine didn't get linked to my account. I chatted with Apple reps on Monday and they got it linked up to my account so all seems to be well, currently preparing to ship with delivery still on Nov 3.

I did get pissed off earlier because the two cases I had ordered - in a separate order, through the Apple app - were held up by FedEx and not delivered today like they were supposed to be. According to FedEx, there was no company name in the shipping address, so they claimed it was an invalid address, though everything they had for the address, suite number, everything, was absolutely right. Hopefully I'll get the cases tomorrow, and I requested that the Apple rep add my company name to the iPhone X order so that hopefully FedEx won't hold that one up too...
