Well if you are dumb enough to buy $100 shoes and not pay your credit card off entirely, life isn't going to be that kind to you anyway. It's a terrible world out there.

This mentality is faulty. I pay off my balance every month and pay 0.00% interest. I use my Apple card for purchases I was already going make and enjoy the free cash back. Don't buy something you can't pay for, especially crappy shoes.

Bravo, neither one of you actually answered the question. Instead, you chose to judge the person behind the comment. Sign of the times? It was a test, you know.

So that $100 pair of shoes (outrageous price!) will net you a one-time $3.00 in Apple Cash? Is that how it works? Guess that helps offset the $20 in interest for an unpaid balance. 😜

IMO, people with an unpaid balance on their credit cards should NOT use them until the balance is paid off. Just another road to a BIGGER and BIGGER unpaid balance at up to 20% interest.

Anyone who can’t pay off their balance shouldn’t be buying $100 shoes in the first place.

Until they offer 2% back on every purchase, this makes no sense when compared to the CitiDouble card. Using Apple Card for any purchase that only gives 1% is throwing away 1% for no reason whatsoever.

How does it make “no sense”? You literally get unlimited 2% Daily Cash on every purchase made using Apple Pay. There are no foreign transaction fees. And now you get 3% Daily Cash on companies aside from just Apple.

I fail to see how it “makes no sense...”

I see these Apple Card commercials and see those Apple Cash daily balance and wonder they're spending on their CC to get that kind of cash balance.
I spend thousands on my card each month. Easily $50 dollars in rewards a month. I pay everything with my card and then pay my card off with My bank account every week. The perks are only good if you use the card.

That’s nice, except more than 3% of the bottom sole of my Nike running shoes has come apart. Invest in better glue and pay your workers better wages Nike!

Nike is probably paying apple $3 to advertise to apple customers.

You've tried every one of their sneaker styles/lines and can't find one that's comfortable... sure
Wher did I say that. I’ve tried several different types of Nike. I find them uncomfortable. Sorry if this upsets you

For those who have had / used the Apple Card from launch, what are your overall thoughts on the card? Do you find using it more or less than previous cards?

I like the card a lot. I like that when I make a purchase, my balance and available credit immediately change. I personally don’t like waiting the 1-2 days that it normally takes for your balance to change after you make a purchase. Also when you make a payment, your balance immediately goes down.

Aside from that yeah overall it’s great. Because of the Daily Cash I typically will use it when a retailer accepts Apple Pay. If not I’ll use 1 of my other rewards cards.

I like it a lot, I use it for almost everything. I pay it off almost every other day in full. Apple/GS doesn't report to any credit reporting agencies tho.

Love my Apple Card. Can’t wait to see what other companies they partner with.

Had the card since June though and it still doesn’t show up on any of my credit reports smh.

This is a feature not a bug ... well, whatever it is, it is deliberate

Do an internet search for "goldman apple card credit reports" and you will find a news story explaining that they haven't started reporting yet

"Details regarding the lack of reporting to credit bureaus were first revealed by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman on Twitter. In a screenshot he posted, a source at one of the two companies appeared to imply that once Apple and Goldman Sachs develop the functionality, the two companies will report consumers’ payment data retroactively " MarketWatch

Okay, what do you call crappy shoes? If as many folks judging by price then watch this 4:19 minute video:

With their money stupid is as stupid does. Many folks spend for something with branding, high advertising budget, and the like. All the while attempting to inflate their ego with their purchase. Oh, there are other like videos.

I remember an article from like 1+ month ago that said the reporting would start soon. Oh well. Definitely going to request a line increase next month. Surprised I was only approved for $5K.

Well it's nothing more than a credit card, however I do reach for this card vs my other ones. I enjoy the ease of paying, ease of seeing my transactions post INSTANTLY. It helps me see where my spending is going and i no longer need to save receipts and input into Quicken.

I agree. 2% for credit card and make it 3% for Apple Pay purchases (and while you’re at it 4% for Apple Store). Then we’re talking. But now...
