CSV may be well understood, but i'd feel better if they also supported PDF directly..

Since all sorts of applications can handle the import differently anyway (formatting most noticeable), doing a direct import can bypass this issue. (in most cases)

Yes, unfortunately I found out OFX is supposed to but won’t import into either Quicken or Banktivity. Wtf? What’s the format good for then? Microsoft money? People with Quickbooks on Windows?

Which is?

The generated OFX fie is badly formatted (and missing information needed for Quicken).

I have some experience with OFX/QFX generation. Until Apple/GS sorts this out, I've created a tool (that I use myself) to convert the monthly PDF file into QFX/QFX/QBO file that can be imported into Quicken (and other personal finance software that can read such format). If you would like more information, see https://ac2ofx.github.io/ac2ofx/

This now works! I spoke to support at GS and they said since IOS 13.4 the OFX export will work and was able to import statements into Banktivity.

I can confirm this as well. I imported March into Banktivity last week using OFX and it worked great!
One step closer to being able to use this card again!

I should also mention that I put in a feature request to GS for exporting transactions during the month, and for OFX support to connect financial tools.

Unfortunately, it still does not work for Quicken.

Cool. I actually emailed Tim Cook and later received a call back from Executive Relations, who told me they were aware and working on it.

Believe me or not.
Sometime between now and then I was able to easily import OFX into Banktivity without manually having to assign columns. Quicken still doesn’t work unfortunately with OFX or CSV.
I use that online tool that a guy wrote to convert PDF statements to OFX / QIF. It also converts apple’s OFX into QIF which works perfect in Quicken.

So who is the blame for it not working automatically in Quicken? Is it Apple, GS or Quicken? Or ALL of them? I would use my Apple more if it worked in Quicken.

My Guess is Intuit, there have always been issues with the way Intuit supports the Mac. Just look at the huge gap when they were not supporting  Products. Also the features set on Mac always seemed to be lag behind what was available on other Platforms.

*UPDATE

I kust received my April statement and was successfully able to import it into Quicken (Mac) for the first time.

Is it working for everyone else now?
