Yes Tim Cook will personally monitor your 10grand himself and make sure its ok... Forget about the Trillions of dollars he is responsible for as CEO of Apple... Your 10K will be his main priority!
I don't think he cares about the Trillion of Dollars. He cares more for the hard-earned consumer's money. The money we spend on Apple. Had he cared about Trillions of Dollars, the prices of the current Apple products would be lowered today but we don't see that happening.

My Citi masterCard and Chase VISA both offer HYSA. Your post said only AMEX & Discover offer this.
Chase?! I know AMEX does as I have it, but to this day, Chase said they don’t. Where/how did you open one at Chase?

Oh boy, this is somewhat cool. Took about 20 seconds and it transferred my daily cash into it. I’m 94 cents richer! But it is linked to my credit union checking account so I can transfer very easily (takes 3-4 days). I just got a CD at 3.9% so this is much better.

FYI I just figured this out. If you never have verified your identity in your Apple Cash card, you will not see this available. I went to my Apple Cash card settings, and hit the verify identity or whatever it was called and once I completed that I was able to move my current Apple Cash balance to the savings.
Where do you do that from? Can't find it in the app.

That said, the interest rate is variable and is already down to 4.07% and can change at any time. I smell a bit of a bait and switch but we’ll see.

Right. Chase and Citi are banks. They offer the accounts. Visa and Mastercard are just the payment network in which your cards operate. They are not your lender or deposit holder.

AMEX and Discover operate as all of the above: issuer, lender, payment network, deposit holder

Ahh mystery solved, thanks for sharing!

The interest rate is tied to that of the Fed funds. It's high for now but will likely go down either at the end of this year or next as inflation gets under control (and/or the economy collapses i.e. recession).

I got rid of my account. Tying a savings card to a credit card is counter-intuitive and using a credit card is folly, I started to fall for it and realized the error of my ways. I don't fool with debt. Pay off your cards and cancel account, it is freeing!!!

May be freeing, but it's bad advice for people trying to improve their credit score. When you cancel a credit card, your average account history length is impacted and overall available credit decreases. Both are a significant factor in determining your score.

You don't need to stop using credit cards to avoid debt... you just need to manage your spending and pay off your cards on time. If there comes a time where you need credit to survive, you'll wish you had the larger balance to take advantage of as it could be too late to get an increase or open a new line of credit. I'm sure most people would rather wreck their credit than not be able to pay utility bills or buy food.

Thanks so much. It now works for me!!

Hoping AMEX increases this week due to competition. It’s already decent today (3.75%), but 4.15% is better!

My only hope for this new account is that it adds the ability to setup monthly transfers from bank account.
I agree. It's nice having automatic deposits setup so you can set and forget.
