Every bank account I've ever tried to setup under our Trust, the bank required the paperwork of the trust to put in their records. This is probably the holdup they are going to have to work out.

Ya, its often a pain as a consumer to do it too. Hopefully Apple/Goldman come up with an easy way.

That is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say to have 5 years of bills in savings. Most common term I’ve heard is 6 months of expenses.
I’m talking about people who are retired and living on savings. Not people with a steady income.

I transfer a certain amount from checking to my saving's each month; its currently setup for recurring. I will reduce it significantly and reallocate that to the Savings account in the wallet. My bank is not paying much on that savings. That too I will eventually move over to Apple Card Savings. But you all know me, I am never quick to jump on the latest.

Set up up. Moved money in from my bank. Added a beneficiary. All easy as Apple pie.

You would be losing money then. That % doesn't even keep up with inflation. You need to see a good financial planner and get in the market. Just my humble opinion.
Money is invested. I just happen to have 500k that cleared from selling a business.

Will not be moving it into another venture for a bit, but need access to it.

Thanks for the advice though. Normally I’d agree with you and say I’m an idiot. Lol

Did you have to call in to set up a beneficiary?
Dealing with GS/Apple accounts is never easy. Called to set up a beneficiary for my new Apple Savings account, and the representative put me on hold and said she would be right back. Instead, I was put in the regular hold queue. I opted to a call back, but this is extremely annoying.

after all of those errors, up and running over here. very simple and easy.

curious how long it’ll take my funds to get from Marcus to Apple. it said 1-3 days, but usually these transfers are pretty quick.

The same bypass that works for paying Apple Card balance works…

If you transfer cash to Apple Cash Card, then transfer from Apple Cash Card to Savings, it’s instant.

true, but I think that’s only with a debit card.

the majority of my funds are in my savings account and there’s no card associated with it.

so I have no choice but to transfer from my external Marcus savings to Apple Savings and wait.

if the funds were in my checking, then what you said would work perfectly.
