Doesn’t go active till 1pm estI wonder how this will work on joint accounts? We each get our own Apple Cash based on the purchases we make on the same card.
I have no option to set up a savings account yet. But it's not 10am yet.
Edit: Second time I went in, now I have the option to set it up.
Edit2: "Savings Unavailable - Apple Pay Series are currently unavailable. Please try again later."
Edit3: On third try, it is now asking me for my full SSN. And above error. Constantly erroring out now.
I had to close the Wallet App and re-open it for it to show. (Now both my wife and I have savings accounts). I've already transferred $ from Apple Cash over (successfully).Doesn’t go active till 1pm est
Plus CC fraud fools with the bank's money instead of your money. The bank will be way quicker to address it if it is their money. There's better consumer protections with a credit card versus cash, check, or debit. It's also easier to shut down a credit card if there's fraud, versus shutting down a checking account. As long as you pay on time, you can get interest in your money in savings, and not pay any fees or interest in your credit account.
SameNot seeing an option to set it up yet, could be because I'm on the 16.5 beta
Go to Apple Card, hit the ... on the top right and choose: Daily Cash.Where do we sign up at? I don't see anything under Daily Cash?
Comparing it to an uninsured investment account isn't an apples to apples comparison. This may sound like a lot but it's not. You can get 4.47% (7-day yield in the link below) with Fidelity's money market fund. It is super safe at this point with no limits. You can probably do even better with Vanguard.

I reiterate that Apple needs to stop doing financial engineering and switch to doing real engineering. Make their products something that bring satisfaction rather than aiming to be the least bad option.
If they compound yearly, $10,375. A questiont his brings up is "Is $250k the cap or the insured?" And if it is the hard cap, what happens if interest would take it over?I'm not good at Math. If I deposit $250,000.00 USD. How much Savings % that is going to earn me in 12 months?
I've done that multiple times and it still doens't show up...hmmm.Go to Apple Card, hit the ... on the top right and choose: Daily Cash.
It's one of those options on that screen. If it doesn't show up right away, close your Wallet app and re-open. It appeared the second time for me.

California - (Pacific) - 8:39am right now. What time zone are you?
That is weird. My wife didn't have to close her app - she saw it right away. I had to close mine (swipe up to close app). <shrug> :/I've done that multiple times and it still doens't show up...hmmm.
Per their T&C any amount over $250,000 would be issued as a check, so I'm guessing that's what they'll do for the interest accrued. If they compound yearly, $10,375. A questiont his brings up is "Is $250k the cap or the insured?" And if it is the hard cap, what happens if interest would take it over?
