Wow! I have needed this so much but honestly had no hope that Apple would implement... cause, Apple.

Glad it dropped now, in the next couple of weeks I was going to start punching months of transactions one by one into Banktivity for tax time.

I actually emailed Tim about it. You’re welcome.

I doubt it's Tim, but rather Goldman Sachs and their contractors (Fiserv?). If you check the properties of the PDF statements, you see that the transaction backend is Microsoft SQL Server and the statements come from SQL Server Reporting Services. Highly doubt Apple would run a Microsoft stack. Basically all they needed to do is to make a new report type in SSRS.

I would say I’m excited for it to come to the U.K. but, we haven’t even got Apple Pay Cash yet.
It’s very unfortunate that Apple is so focused on the US, we pay MORE for these products but get less 😅

I can’t help but feel if/when Apple Card does make it to the U.K. that we’ll either face an annual fee and/or the cash back rates won’t be as good because of the cap on Interchange Fees.

So not Tim using Excel? Ok, cool. Bubble burst, but hey that’s fine.

How about an exportable yearly spending report? Nutty to think they could roll out what is actually a high-end credit card without this feature.
Presumably, we'll have to wait another 8 or 9 months to find out if that will be available! :D

If i could plunk the data right into quickbooks without manually entering each transaction, that would be awesome. I would use this as my business card. Yeah I said plunk.

After waiting for many months, we are offered a half baked fix. Every other credit card allows direct downloads into Quicken and Apple/Goldman can't figure out how to do it without downloading a csv file then converting it?
Time to fire a few folks and bring in a new team!

I'm sure the capability is there. It's weather Apple/GS wants to provide it.

Well at least it's something. Hopefully support for automatic import for things like Mint and YNAB will come someday. Until then it's still easier for me to do manually as I don't enter my transactions once a month. The card is not my primary card that i use so it's not much of a pain.

My january statement isn't available yet though so it might come with that one.

Not sure why you can’t see it yet, my January statement is not here as well, it won’t be here till the end of January.
I downloaded from December all the way back to August already.

Not really impressed. For one, I don’t want to wait until a monthly statement is released to import my transactions. I prefer do it on a weekly basis. And the process should be automatic. Apple should be able to make this happen.

Awww, I just spent some hours writing an R script to do this. Ah well, this will be more reliable.

As far as I'm concerned, the Apple Card is useless until direct import into financial apps is made available. No amount of rewards can compensate for lack of automation. CSV downloads? Ridiculous.

If it doesn’t offer what you want, wait until it does or just skip it altogether 🤷‍♂️
