Thinking that Tesla is anything more than a crap car is laughable. Buying a Tesla is like paying $70,000 for a bronco and then realizing it's still a Ford. Tesla makes some of the most bland, QC plagued cars out there. So take a step back from your "I am better than you peasants because I drive a Tesla ledge" before you come on here with the "crap cars comments. Polestar/Rivian maybe, but nothing about Tesla screams "high end."

Yeah the Elon bootlickers are very upset that many of us won't drink the koolaid

You can do most things in CarPlay without Siri though it does make some things easier. The new, AI-based Siri will probably be easier to work with when it comes out in early 2025.
Not sure how, given you can't even connect to the car without siri being enabled on the phone!
This was consistent with every 2024 model car test driven.

I will never get another Tesla. Miserable experience by itself, and even worse without CarPlay. Even though my Tesla is only three years old I've started looking at other cars (usually my cars last me 15 years or more). CarPlay is now a requirement for me.
I love my Tesla. And while I do wish it had CarPlay the satnav is becoming more Waze like. Don’t even use Waze on my phone mount. To each their own, clearly.

I recently switched from a Tesla to a BMW i4. This is my first time having a vehicle with CarPlay and it's really great, I didn't know what I was missing before. Looking forward to seeing what they do with 2.0.
My last vehicle had wireless CarPlay and it was fantastic. However my opinion Tesla software is the best in the world as far as software defined vehicles go and I don’t miss CarPlay all that much. By not using CarPlay my phone isn’t constantly being used for gps as well.

The main thing I really like is the ability to use Apple Maps. Tesla's maps/nav system is good, and probably the best built-in system. But the crowd-sourced map data in Apple Maps is awesome to have and the overall much more natural instructions and higher quality/more detailed maps is really great.
