First, FYI, Apple Macbook sales reports are NOT separated by model. So there is no way to know how many Macbook Pro (touchbar) they sold. When they released the Touchbar, I actually end up buying the previous model for my son.

They kept trying to make Macbook thinner sacrificing performance. The Macbook Pro, looks more like an entry level...
Apple has been neglecting computer design for many years and it shows all over the place.

Facts are not opinions. This actually proves my point. Not only they had problems with batteries but now also with the keyboard.

The only reason I said that is because Apple themselves did make a comment regarding the Touch Bar versions of the MacBook Pro’s, firstly Phil Schiller said in an interview back in 2016 that orders for them were higher than any MacBook Pro before, granted that was back in 2016 but Tim Cook had this to say in a 2017 earnings call:

Cook did mention the new Touch Bar-equipped MacBook Pro notebook, which launched in late October. He hinted that Apple could have sold more if it had had them. "We were supply constrained for the new MacBook Pro throughout the December quarter and are just now coming into supply/demand balance," he said of the shortage.

The issues with the batteries was sorted pretty quick if I remember correctly, the keyboard will be an interesting one to see what happens. I do think Apple need to address it, I also think they don’t have a product that some people may want ie a Surface competitor but that doesn’t seem to be an area they are interested in, I only mention that because I see a few people mentioning touch screen support for a laptop/hybrid type device.
