“President Donald Trump defended the prince and said "A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about," when responding to a question from a reporter that asked about Khashoggi.”

I’d be very careful about using that argument, Donald.

Don't worry, your president is like Teflon... nothing sticks, not even bullets!

For those that believe that the Saudi's had nothing to do with Jamals death, I'd suggest reading the Vanity Fair article on their Death Jet that lured expats and they were prisoned or never heard from again. The fact that Tim Cook is friendly with the Trump Administration demonstrates his support of their actions.

The only thing — and I mean the ONLY thing — keeping me with Apple is Advanced Data Protection. If that goes away, I’m gone.

If I’m gonna be supporting trash, I might as well have a voice assistant that works.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

My understanding is that as CEO, if Tim Cook and/or Apple decides not to go to any event or meet any dignitaries of any country, and such actions led to the sanctions, banning of Apple products and/or any other form of negative reaction that jeopardizes Apple’s revenue, Tim Cook and the Apple Board of Directors are liable for losses to share holders?

For example: UnitedHealthcare is being sued by its share holders due to their slight easing on denying claims after the death of their CEO, therefore lowering their profits.

Looking forward to all our “Tim Cook is a disgrace!” moral purists ditching their iPhones (that were produced in evil, repressive China) for their new, US home-made Liberty smartphones. Just $2000 for 2011 tech!

Then again, most batteries are also produced in evil China, so I guess they’ll just have to crank their portable charger handles real fast.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Cook really only has two choices.

- Attend these dinners/meetings to hear first hand about what the administration is doing.
- Don’t attend and be kept in the dark about upcoming changes that could adversely affect your company.

Anyone who thinks Cook supports Trump and what he stands for is delusional.
The third is to retire.

Tim Cook's like "Ugh! Another trip to the White House. Retirement cannot come fast enough."
I really cannot help but wonder if this isn't a huge part of it. He's only 65. While a lot of people are like "he's no Steve Jobs" he's unquestionably been very successful. It's not like shareholders were screaming for someone else.

It's not at all unreasonable to think if the US elections had gone the other way, there'd be at least five more years of Tim Apple.

Sooooo… because both the saudis and the us gov have disappeared people should make it OK to suck up to either?
Its the fake hypocritical crocodile tears that make my blood boil. "Oh he killed a jouralist" yet I dont hear anyone condemning Obama as a war criminal for droning thousands of kids or clinton and the two bushes for killing over 1 million iraqi civilians.

The fake self righteousness and high horse comments every time Saudi is mentioned when we have way more blood on our hands grinds my gears thats all.

We are actively funding (and proudly based on our elected officials reactions) a country that has killed hundreds of journalists in an on going genocide so spare me the sob story about this one guy. I'm not even a fan of Saudi Arabia (I am shia, they hate us) but literally every time saudi is mentioned half the comments are about how barbaric they are and comments about the journalist who was killed, when the US and West is far worse with mountains of bodies and blood on its hands.

I’m never gonna buy an Apple product again. JK: there is no alternative. Has anyone used Android recently? It’s still ridiculously bad.
This sounds like a good resource. I am actually considering going over to Samsung, phone & watch.

Serious question. Could you give me examples on why Android is bad & how Apple does better?

In my experience after trying Samsung flagships 3-4 different occasions. Its just not a good experience, they pre-install a lot of junk apps with duplicate functionality, Android updates are BETTER now but realistically you will get 1-2 android upgrades before updates stop with the exception of Google and Samsung but still not as long as Apple.

I loved the hardware Samsung makes great phones, but what I often find is 90% of their new features they add are gimmicks that are cool for a demo or two and then never to be used again.

tl;dr Good hardware, software lacks polish and cohesiveness

What does that have to do with any of my post? Obama, Clinton, Bush (to a much lesser extent), and Trump are all worshiped as celeberty idols, giving speeches, getting noble peace prizes, being interviewed, writing and selling books when they are all war criminals who have mountains of bodies on their hands. But nobody says anything. Michelle Obama was just giving a speaking tour and nobody asked once why her husband thought it was ok to drone thousands of kids. But how dare the prince of saudi come when he killed, allegedly, killed a journalist.

Hell Netanyahud who killed hundreds of journalists is being worshipped by both democrats and republicans as the next messiah. Its sickening hypocrisy.

And I'm pretty certain we will never hear from him about how it felt being CEO through past, current, and future events. He does not have the candid tell-all autobiography gene.
