Suck it up Tim!!! The party is over. No more free stuff to people that do not want to work hard. You have to deserve to be able to get now.

Is that why all the unemployed Republicans are begging Trump to force companies to give them jobs?

My post of FaceBook:

To my friends and family, some who voted for someone that didn't win, here's my advice:

Exact your reaction to the election by living your life to the be the best person you can be. It isn't some person in the White House's job to make your life better. That's your job.

Study, learn, grow. Become the person you always wanted to be, and realize that action relies on you, not the President.

Two days ago, it was a choice between Bad and Worse, but today it is a choice between good and great. What it takes to be great is just 2% more effort and a good attitude. Make the choice to be happy, whether your candidate won or lost.

Just in case you're wondering, my candidate lost 6 months ago.

I think i'm in love with you.

He's not part of the "elite"... he's from Queens.

Of course he's not the "elite", he's on the Republican ticket so of course he couldn't be /end sarcasm. Nevermind that he contributed to the Clinton foundation many years ago, even inviting them to one of his weddings. Hypocrisy in the flesh.

A Salesman elected on the premise of false hopes that he sold the public and his followers ate up, because he's for the working man. A man with absolutely no qualifications let alone substance, but drove his message through hate and fear mongering. A man born into money who's never ridden the NYC Subway system, yet he's not the "elite" because he was born in Queens? Give me a break, his childhood home is selling for 7 digits and that part of Queens is called Jamaica Estates, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Queens outside of Forest Hills.

About the only humble thing Trump does is take a dump right after stuffing his face with Big Mac's, since he's a huge fast food lover.

You apparently haven't been paying attention the past year. It's not about "some people aren't happy" with the candidate who won. The winning candidate is genuinely frightening - and not in an abstract political way. More like, "This guy will enable a future where my rights, my equality, and my physical safety are threatened".

The winning candidate based his entire campaign on mainstreaming racism, xenophobia, and misogyny. He proposed banning Muslims. He proposed deporting American citizens he deemed "anchor babies". He's tried to use the power of the FCC to fine his critics and attacked judges based on their race. He has threatened to jail his political opponents and encouraged his followers to use violence. He has threatened torture and the killing of enemy's families. This is all not only unethical (with horrifying historic comparisons) but also against the Geneva Convention and unconstitutional - in violation of free speech, equal protection, and the separation of powers.

He's bragged about sexually assaulting women and constantly degrades them based on their weight and appearance. He praises the authoritarian leadership style of Vladimir Putin. The future VP believes in conversion "therapy" for gay people. And on top of all this they deny climate change and want to abolish the EPA when the earth needs protection the most. So no, it's not about simply being on the losing side and being unable to keep politics out of work. It's about the most powerful leader in Apple's home nation literally threatening every citizen that disagrees with him or isn't white, male, and straight.
"The winning candidate based his entire campaign on mainstreaming racism, xenophobia, and misogyny." Who is feeding you this crap?

I'd say that making sure the staff is happy and works together is far from "worthless." That's why you're not a CEO. You really think they are in there designing the hardware? Do you think Steve Jobs did?
No, he was making his opinion heard. Majority of the country is happy. He wasn't addressing them though.

The true elite are from Manhattan.

The true elite are from Manhattan.

That's right, one of them resides in Trump Tower. At least we agree on that.

This country is divided, and at the end of the day we will have to move on and accept the results, as this is the way our Democracy works. I just hope he changes his rhetoric for the sake of the whole or we're in for 4 very long years.

I mentioned on Twitter the other night that I hope somewhere at Apple there is talk right now of doubling down on iOS security because this new administration will come after Apple with everything they've got.

This is an example of the kind of empty neoliberal rhetoric that led to Trump getting elected.

A company that touts diversity, yet from an economic standpoint, shuts so many people out.

Dr. King was about racial AND economic justice, a Civil Rights Movement AND a Poor People's Campaign, but Tim Cook and his mealy-mouthed subordinates wouldn't understand that.

The fact that is this comment is the highest upvoted in here is laughable and shows the state of the post-election mentality throughout the country.

From an economic standpoint, they are a business. They create high-quality products and are sold as such. Tim Cook's Apple is one that values diversity and equal rights, as he is himself is in a minority group. You're bringing lots to the table in your post that have little to do with Apple, and more to do with the state of America.

It's pretty simple. The CEO is trying to unify his company, at a time of civil unrest. His words, moving forward, are true and clear. Regardless of who's in office, we need to move forward together as a country.

This is a load or horse ****. Trump IS part of the elite. The same elite that has fooled poor white people into believing they are the same as rich white people. It's a lie that has stagnated this country's growth since slavery was abolished. This same lie has been used by Trump masterfully to fool the GOP voters that "others" are the reasons for their lot in life. You have been fleeced by rich people and told that 'hey it's that brown person who's the problem.'

This country spends BILLIONS setting up puppet governments overseas who oppress their own to look out for US corporate interests. And Then we get shocked when they revolt. Do our corporate elites admit we caused our own problems with extremists? Nope.

Trump will not solve anything. He is part of the problem.

You did not read my post! I never said we was not part of the elite in general, I said he was not part of the political elite, that he was not a racist, sexist, homophobe, bigot, etc. and there is a big difference. He has about everything he could want in life except for what goes into the history books. Now he may yet decide to behave as you wrote, but there is no reason to believe that at this point. However, you believe it because it is what your handlers and the opposition want you to believe.

You need to question some things. For example, it was democrats that had a senior member of the KKK fully supported in the party until he died just a few years ago. It was democrats that had more white than others in leadership positions until obama. It was republicans that fully supported equality during the race riots and passed the resulting laws, not democrats. Lincoln was a republican. Republicans were never the bad guys with regard to race until democrats saw that as a way to win and cover up the their real intent.

You see in Marketing 101 you are taught a few things. For example, find your biggest weakness and charge your competitors with it whether true or not. That way they cannot fight back. Today democrats are the biggest racists. In fact the current administration has promoted more racist policies than in the last 70 years. That is if you truly believe that people should not be judged based on race. It was hillary clinton that ran the smear campaign against bills female companions, totally ignoring that they had rights. It was hillary that left people to die in Benghazi. It was hillary that violated federal laws and risked our national security because she felt the need try to hide her secrets. It was hillary and bill that sold out the worst of the worst in the middle east to get rich. Even if Trump does not live up to expectations, he is still miles ahead of the known evil that exists with the clinton's. People finally stood up and said enough is enough with hillary. Now we have to wait and see if Trump is only moderately better to exponentially better.

Trump was a private citizen and if he had violated any laws anyplace at any time the democratic machine would have eaten him alive. Stop listening to the fear mongering, use some common sense, and look at what is actually happening in the world.

"The winning candidate based his entire campaign on mainstreaming racism, xenophobia, and misogyny." Who is feeding you this crap?

He started his campaign by calling Mexicans rapists and promising to build a wall between US and Mexico. He also proposed benning all Muslims from entering the US. That's not racism and xenophobia?

As for misogyny, I'm not sure he made that a basis for his campaign, but he did insult the looks of a female primary opponent, and the wife of another opponent. He said that a reporter who asked him tough questions must have been in a bad mood because "she was bleeding from her wherever." Not to mention the "grasping p***y" thing.

Garbage like what TC just said is part of the reason why Trump got elected. The pubic are sick of the rich elite running the show without putting the neds of everyone first.

TC needs to either play politics or be CEO of Apple. Not both. TC trying to do both as well as support Clinton was not going to help Apple at all.

Gosh, it's amazing how blind some people are.
US just elected Donald Trump, a CEO of Trump Corporation as a president! Trump being a part of that same rich elite.

You don't have ground to stand on here. Unless Cook's being a Democrat, in your mind automatically means that he is not allowed to do what the Republicans do.

It was republicans that fully supported equality during the race riots and passed the resulting laws, not democrats. Lincoln was a republican.

I don't know what republicans and democrats did during the race riots, as I wasn't born yet back then, or maybe I was just a baby. And yes, Lincoln was a republican, but what matters is what the republicans of today are doing,

And what I know is Regan advocated trickle down economics, which didn't work, and has increased the economical divide between the very rich and middle class. And from what I understand Trump advocates the same thing -- tax cuts for the rich.

We couldn't survive 4 more years of Obama's dictator socialist policies that were destroying this country

Thank GOD voters made their voice heard and the lamestream media was proven so so so wrong with all their BS polls

Don't think you know what socialism is.

We in Europe marvel at the spleen venting about communist Democrats. Your democrats are more right wing than our own right wing parties.

You haven't a clue about either socialism or communism. And the biggest shame is neither do tens of millions of Americans.

Regardless of his policies what has trump said? Publicly makes fun of handicap people. He calls out a judge saying he can not do his job because of his Mexican heritage. Calls for a ban on the 2nd largest religion in the world from coming into the country. Jokes about sexually assaulting women. After he's accused by several women, he shouts them down calls them fat and unattractive. Calls Mexican immigrants rapist. Says john McCain is not a war hero because he was captured. Says Laziness is a trait in blacks. It goes on and on.

You want this person to represent you? It's not about his policy, whether hes left or right. Its about these hateful things he says and the fact that a large percent of people who voted for him were some how able contort them selves around these things and say that's fine I'm ok with this, I don't care that it gives a platform for people to do these things. I'm giving him my vote anyway. It's just sad.

I'm willing to bet if they had a boss that constantly said these things most of these voters would quit. If they had a friend that did they'd probably stop hanging around with them (as far as family your stuck with them and there's nothing you can do about it). Sure there are some of those voters that believe all those things he said are great, but for the others who voted for him you had a choice and are now LUMPED IN with all of them and you just gave them a platform to sell their hate.

Gosh Tim. Too little and too late. Apple actively supported the Democrats and Hillary, now they get to feel the wrath of Don.

I hope Trump goes for payback against the companies that tried to thwart his election. Teach them to be more careful next time.

I'm totally against Trumps back door talk..clearly he misspoke and didn't know all the technical facts, and shut his mouth quick.

But I agree with Apple bringing some jobs back to the US. They don't even store their globs of cash here, they bank overseas to avoid the higher tax penalties.

They don't make a single idevice in the states, they probsbly don't make anything here anymore except for a few Macs. It's shameful to be honest.

Stock down just today....almost 3.5% but of course all execs are profoundly wealthy so it doesn't much matter to them but people who's retirement is dependent are taking a big hit today.......

What a Hypocrite.

Had Trump lost, there would be no stupid letter.

I still can't comprehend why you would receive a letter as a result of a demographic process.

Hey Tim, I'm still waiting for my Brexit letter.........
