Angela is extremely overpaid. She manged to bungle both the Apple Watch and iPad Pro launches in the same year.
How did she bungle the iPad Pro launch? She can't control what is available when and I'll bet she has little say on when products are launched.

Yeah, bring back John Sculley! /s
Tim Cook is essentially John Sculley 2.0

Extremely overpaid, extremely under qualified, two botched releases in one single year. Good resume.
Not to mention the now non-existent Apple Online store and their current lack of good promotional sales (Back to School, Black Friday)

If Cook really wants to leave the world better than he found it, he would give away his fortune today, not when he dies.

Why is the CEO the lowest paid senior executive?

You call that low paid?

Steve Jobs was paid a dollar a year and worth every penny. I'm not sure the same can be said for Tim Cook.

Good money. Can't complain.

Wish they would donate a few of their pennies to a 32GB iPhone. Perhaps they can't afford to.

I can't be the only one who thinks there should be some change in Apple. IMO Cook, Ive, and Cue need to be out and replaced to see what fresh, new, and motivated people can bring to the table.

That would be removing three key people from Apple, one of which is a great designer, and has designed products for Apple for years, and who doesn't get much criticism for his design. I think all three of them are doing an excellent job, and should not be removed.

On another subject, why does Angela Ahrendts get paid so much? There must be a reason.

Regardless of how big the company is, these salaries are outrageously over the top. Why do they deserve to be paid that much?

You don't know what you're talking about.

The value (connection & ability to make huge deals worthing millions and billions) they bring to the company is worth a lot and worth the pay.

Meanwhile, Apple Store retail employees, who puts up with the most crap of anyone in the whole company, makes $16 per hour in San Francisco.

And then they punch out at 5:00, pull off their T-shirts, grab their backpacks and head over to the bar without a care in the world. And nobody spends hours upon hours with a microscope up their nether regions, analyzing and criticizing their every breath.

What do you mean non-existent online store? It's right there on the front page of apple.com. Sheesh.

Surely you're joking.

I agree. You wouldn't want to keep coddling the team that has increased their revenue, earnings and stock price for the last 4 1/2 years. Off with their heads! /s

So he earned $28219 on average each day, including the day in which he approved a MacBook with a single USB port.
Well done, Tim.

Tim may have approved some of these things but rest assured 16 GB devices, 5 GB iCloud and MacBook One are Schiller's doing.

"Angela Ahrendts received 391,634 shares worth $50 million"

Ugh. Srsly? Like for why?

You are aware she was hired away from Burberry as their CEO right? She took them in 7 years from a $2B business to a $7B business and absolutely transformed their brand. She's a retail genius. She's done and amazing job with Apple retail and the new store designs she's pushing are amazing. Best $50M Apple has ever spent. Jeff Williams is in position to take over as Apple CEO were something to happen to Tim, but I wouldn't mind it to be her instead. She's the visionary leader that crazy loon Hilary Clinton could only dream about being.

Steve Jobs also leased a brand new Mercedes every few months just so he wouldn't have to put a license plate on his car (and probably for the new car smell),,. All on a dollars salary

Surely you're joking.

Before Ahrendtz, the Apple Online Store had a dedicated page on the website, now it's baked into every product page which makes the shopping process less slightly more complicated.

Also prior to her arrival, we had decent annual back to school promos whether it be a free iPod, $100 gift card, printer, etc. In 2015, all they threw in was a pair of freaking Beats headphones. Lame!

In 2015, we also had no Black Friday sale for probably the first time ever. Basically, they've become a lot stingier because of her.

How was it wise for Apple, a tech and computer company, to spend millions of dollars for the EX-CEO of a designer clothing brand that screams nothing but excess, elite, and the selling of overpriced goods?

By the way, the layout of Apple stores since she has been hired I would argue have been for the worse.. Products are all over the place now. Some iPads on are on a table, the iPad Pros are on a back wall, watches are in the middle with literally nobody standing around them.. What exactly has she brought to the table here of value? I don't see it.

By the way, I'll just leave this here:

"Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts is trying to usher in a new way for her company to handle product launches. She wants to encourage customers to avoid their local Apple Store when the Apple Watch goes on sale and instead order online, according to instructions she sent to store staff members obtained by Business Insider.

"This is a significant change in mindset, and we need your help to make it happen," the memo says (see the text and imagery below)."

She actually thought it was a good idea to drive away customers from visiting the Retail stores.. What has she done again?
