Which one? 😋

Ah, so you did vote for the man who is ignoring the law and tearing apart the Constitution. (Just because the truth makes you uncomfortable doesn’t mean you don’t have to face it.)
Oo! You invoked my corollary I made about 15 or so years ago! Yaay! Kudos to you!

“Just because it’s the truth doesn’t mean you have to like it.
But just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s not the truth.”

(And it works in reverse, too)

I'm not suggesting Tim Cook is a nazi. I'm suggesting he's a supplicant to the orange nazi. Does that clarify things for you, or do you disagree ?
When someone (I don't care who it is tbh) says this person is a Nazi, or that person is a Nazi I just get curious what that person has done to make the connection. I get you weren't talking about Tim but rather DJT to which I ask again, what makes him a Nazi?

What “daily lawbreaking”? What law did he break today?

Goodness. Where to begin?

Trump is mostly concerned with trying desperately to hide his health problems and bragging about identifying basic animal shapes on the dementia progression tests they keep giving him, but those around him?

They've violated the Antideficiency Act hundreds of times by 'reprogramming' Congressional appropriations, particularly in recent weeks. The recent single paycheck to military members was - in fact - illegal as the appropriation authority they claimed to do it was expired.

The Impoundment Control Act, similarly, hundreds of times by DOGEing dozens of agencies enacted by law by Congress.

Speaking of DOGE, lots of future criminal liability for that little gambit as giving access to classified information by those that do not have clearance is super illegal.

The dozens of fishing boat bombings in the Caribbean? Without authorization of Congress? You guessed it, illegal. At least when they bomb villagers in the Middle East they can squint and claim it legal under the previous AUMF. Anyway - still would be illegal under international law. Whomever is pulling those triggers better hope for a pardon before Don keels over.

Multiple daily Hatch Act violations.

That's before we get to the big stuff like all off the Emoluments Clause violations, selling of pardons, and cryto coin bribery process.

The dumb stuff like renaming the Department of Defense and Gulf of Mexico? Well I don't know if you'd call the illegal but rather just idiotic and not formally valid. Agency names can only be changed by Congress, no matter what it says on the stationary.

Then the whole class if stuff where the legality is a gray area but its Just A Bad Idea which is why No One Does It - stuff like turning the military on your own citizens and lying to judges about it.

Anyway that's just off top of head. I'm sure we could find more.

"ORANGE MAN BAD
??? Well, he is orange, as your post acknowledges. And his performance has been pretty bad, when you look at the usual metrics; economy, cost of living, unemployment, international credibility etc.

The rest of the world really is laughing at the state of the current US administration, but I don’t really see how that has anything to do with „liberals”, because the countries laughing the hardest are not that liberał.

It’s a stupid non-argument. „Hmm, this burger’s not the best” „Liberal!!!!” „Excessive tarrifs might be counterproductive.” „Liberal!!!!”.

I’m quite sure there are many conservatives out there that might think Trump is not nessessarily making the best decisions in terms of the USA’s best interests. It might be better to listen to the substance of their arguments and then debate the points of those arguments, rather than just shouting memes.

You don’t have to be liberał to find the sycophancy he demands as distasteful.

None of these are illegal lol. Just propaganda you believe as real.

Those things only exist in democrat's minds who are upset they lost a free and fair election
You didn’t see any Dems attacking the Capitol like MAGA did when they lost a free and fair election.

Yeah, it's pretty funny that Biden got 15 million more votes than Obama.
Have you any idea how many eligible citizens don't vote every election? A sizable number of the vote in 2020 not for Biden, but against Trump after seeing the 💩-show 45's administration brought to America. I knew people who didn't give a rat's (_!_) about politics and never voted before register just to vote against Trump.

So it's 65M Democrat voters + 15M anyone but Trump voters.

That's a lot of extra votes. I hope for your sake those numbers hold. Otherwise you'll be in the same shock I was when I realized what happened. I voted for Biden and I don't believe it was fair.

And here's the problem:

For years, Apple fans on Macrumors have been telling each other that Cook, as CEO of Apple, is acting solely—and I emphasize solely—in the interests of users.

Now do you understand the disappointment?

And getting extensive tariff exemptions in this political climate isn’t in the interests of users? The unfortunate reality is that this kind of thing is what gets Apple those benefits. It might be distasteful to a good number of users, but I doubt many of them would prefer to pay 30-50 percent more for their iPhones in exchange.

"ORANGE MAN BAD"

As a non-American looking on, these two comments seem to be quite representative of the state of American political discourse (although, also as an onlooker, there does not seem to be much political discourse, more like people hating each other under the false banner of political differences).

I would rather focus on the dinner and the attendees there.

Good! To get good treatment, even preferential treatment from Trump, one must pander to him. Tim Cook's kowtowing is beneficial to those of us in the Apple community. Helps hold our costs down.

In Europe any association with Trump is a huge damage to the reputation of a company. Sales of Tesla cars went down a lot in many European countries, although the EV market at a whole was growing.

And even in the US that will hurt Apple. Half of Americans like Trump the other half hates him. It is never good to alienate half of your customers.

Obviously Tim Apple thinks that alienating millions of customers is worth than alienating Trump.

It is astonishing to see that some of the richest and most powerful industry leaders try to appease Trump. With all their resources they should do the opposite. Find some of his dirty secrets and then blackmail him. It should not be too hard to get the Epstein files, if you have the resources of Apple.
