Apple under Tim Cook has gone rapidly from the industry leader to industry follower that cannot even innovate at all.

Under Tim Cook, Apple cannot even perform simple and obvious product changes such as increasing the iPhone's screen size, let alone innovate.

And Tim Cook has spent most of his time in the public defending iPhone's screen size like it is something that is dictated by God or dropped from the sky and is thus immutable to change.

And now Tim Cook has time to go on Twitter -- while Apple's rivals and competitors run circles around Apple and leap frog Apple in almost every aspects.

Truly a shame.

Tim Cook has to go.

Apple's Board better wake up before it is too late.

This is a public service announcement from an Apple shareholder, me.

you sound like you 'own' a minuscule amount of appl but like to boast from a big cheese position (as in- if you had any sort of real pull, you wouldn't be spewing this crap on a public internet forum)

i'd guess many-to-most people on these forums own more apple product$ than you do stock$..

(psa from me calling it like i see it)

I wonder if anyone was smart enough to buy a gold iPhone and get him to sign the back of it while he was visiting the shops?

Imagine how much that thing would sell for on ebay?

I do not like this focusing on increase of screen-size; I want the 3.5 back. But he sounds like an educated person. And he was able, to comment in a decent way. More, than others have to offer. Probably me - and you for sure. Forgive me - the real letdowns came later.

Anybody else recognise that blue shirt? I'm sure he's a pro apps specialist who's at every opening. I've seen him in Australia a few times and his accent isn't from around here. Big glasses. Nice guy. Often seen with a DSLR taking photos. If you've seen him, you'll know who I mean.

I'm starting to suspect he's a go-to store starter/trainer or something, for anywhere on the planet.

Oh and Tim What'shisname. Must be his local store, because he can't stop talking about it. Just like the rest of us…

-------

Are we talking about screen size? You can have your 3.5 or 4", but please Apple, give us the option of 5" or bigger screen. It's like megapixels* - you can never have too many - and you can never have too big an iPhone screen. Besides, they have to stop at 7", don't they? How about a 4c, 5c and 6c - where c is for inches.

Don't you get tired of people squinting at photos on your dinky little screen and explaining why it's "better", when they ask why your screen isn't as big as another's Samcopy?

* I once read a camera review where the writer spent most of it lecturing everyone why more megapixels isn't necessarily better. Then expressed amazement that this camera was actually better, despite the conventional wisdom. Never once thought we wanted to read more about the camera, than their theories that were proven wrong in practice.

Yeah right. Apple has 100 bilion in cash reserves but cant make bigger screen device. Instead of talking about innovation and bigger screen in one sentence, you better try ask yourself why they dont increase the size of the display. Yeah, there is a reason, I see it, but I guess you cant. But thats your problem, not our or apples. Maybe next year we will see bigger screen, dont know. 4,3 inch dosent look that bigger also but Ill be much more happy to see improved software, services, battery life, bad ass features that are actually useful. IGZO display will be sweet, some interesting sensor, improved iCloud, something like that.

For this year so far (we havent see the new macbooks pro and ipads) Apple is pushing harder than ever and im rly happy with their products.

Well, the iPhone 5c could have been a little more cheaper, with like 100$ more, and they could had manage better the stocks for annoucment of iPhone 5S, but whatever, those devices still kick ass.

haha 160k followers (and counting)

but i'm pretty sure half of this number are Apple employees and the rest are fanboys

the rest of the world does not give a **** :D

There is nothing obvious about the need to make a bigger phone. Which competitors phone will sell more than the iPhone 5s? (No need to respond, the answer is none of them).

Here is a list to help you out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_mobile_phones#2013

Since 2008 there has only been one year when the new iPhone model wasn't the best selling phone (not just smartphone, but phone). In 2010 they got beat by a Nokia ultra-cheap smartphone the 5320, that device quickly faded away and Nokia along with it.

What about today? Apple was ahead for 2013 before the 5s/5c release happened. They will just widen the gap now.

I agree with you and I don't need the bigger screen, however I do believe we will see a screen size jump next hardware update. I do hope they keep the 4 inch option as I really like the size for all around comfort, any bigger is to big for my pocket. I've spoke with a lot of friends and I do know a few who want the bigger screen and switched to S4. 1 of them just waited in line for 5s to go back to iPhone. He felt iPhones are just all around better, he does hope Apple will make a bigger screen, no bigger then 5inch. I myself think 4.5 would be nice and still comfortable.
I use my iPad or MacBook Pro when bigger screen needed and I don't think a 5 or 6inch screen on a smartphone would fill my need when a bigger screen is needed.

Innovation at Apple is still there, I got my 5s and the Fingerprint ID works flawless error free and fast. You will start to see these Fingerprint ID's on all smartphones & tablets. I'm extremely impressed with how Apple did this in the home button. It's ease of use in the home button is a very natural motion on an iPhone, thats the button we use to open phone etc. I didn't think it would be as accurate and fast as it is on the first release. Especially after all rumors of how hard it would be, problems making them and production yields etc.
My new iPhone 5s is extremely fast even compared to my iPhone 5 in a lot of areas but as far as everyday use for most people the iPhone 5 is plenty fast.

There is a need for bigger screen on iPhone 5 to keep the people who do like a bigger screen happy and using iPhones. Rumor has it they're testing 5-6inch screens and I'm sure the iPhone 6 we'll have the option of at least a 5in. I still hope they give us an option of a couple sizes.

Apple has some great things to come even without Steve Jobs, who I myself think is one of the greatest minds ever! I believe he left some of his great visions in people close to him as well as taught them how to make a quality product.:apple:

I think it was great to see Tim Cook at a Apple Store meeting some of Apples fans in line to get their iPhone 5s.:apple:

Guys, come on... don't let that poster troll you.
The complaint doesn't even make sense, since Tim Cook's Apple did increase the iPhone's screen size.
