During today's earnings call for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2020 (third calendar quarter), Cook said that while he doesn't want to give too much away, "this year has a few more exciting things in store."

Cook is likely speaking about the Apple Silicon Macs, as Apple has previously said the first Apple Silicon Mac will be coming before the end of 2020. There are rumors of a third fall event coming in November, which would likely be Mac focused.

There are also other possible products that could be coming, such as the AirPods Studio and the AirTags, though launch dates for these products are less certain than the new Apple Macs and it continues to be unclear if we'll see one or both before the end of the year.

We need Mac desktops to connect to our 4k and soon 8k TV's. The Mac mini is a joke, they are underpowered, run superhot and burn out like NUCs. A larger model with full size graphics card is what is needed, but Apple needs to swallow their Wall Street pride and accept something significantly less than the usual Apple profit to do it.

Really? I have the Mac mini with a 3.0GHz 6-core Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB hard drive with 8GBs of memory hooked up to my 4K 46" TV and it performs without a hiccup.

Im holding on for a new Mac Mini, current models havent been updated since 2018, three generations behind in the intel core roadmap, really hope they start with a Mini that blows intel out of the water both in cpu and igpu departments... hopefully with usb4 and hdmi and ethernet latest standards
