For me, and just my opinion, I would like for them to add the following:

1. Get rid of the notch. Use a hole punch instead if needed.
2. Add a fingerprint sensor onto the display as a backup to the facial recognition.
3. Allow us to have more control over themes. For example, I would love to remove the background behind the bottom bar on the iPhone UI.
4. Want a more immersive feel to the screen. So right now the borders are very noticeable and I would love to watch a show on my phone or video that I took where it feels like it's borderless.
5. Ability to customize the clock on the lock screen. Change the font. Change the time format. Add the day of week or date.
6. I know they will never do this but Micro SD expansion would be nice. I know it won't happen with Apple but would be nice.
7. Really need to kick up the default wallpapers to the next level. Add more animated ones for sure. I don't mean take one wallpaper and give us five of the same thing but in different colors.
8. Really focus on creativity. Many people love Instagram and the filters that it provides, etc. Integrate things like that into the iPhone. Boost the creativity part of the phone.
9. Make a version of the iPhone with a textured and tough back on it. I really wish I could just carry my phone without a case but I can't. I spend a ridiculous amount of money and then slap a case on it. After a while, the phone just becomes boring and actually like all other phones on the market until I take it out of the case and am reminded how cool the back looks. Oh and clear cases do not do the phone justice to me. I want the feel and look of the phone in my hand. I don't want to cover it up and rely on Apple Care to be my way of protecting my investment.
10. Kick up the zoom big time. Make it an optical zoom not digital. I want to take pictures in 4K resolution at least. I can't tell you how many times I take a picture and when I zoom in I see pixels. I see blurred pixelation. It's so annoying. That's the one thing that makes me want to check out other phone competitors to see what cameras they have. I want to zoom in and see a crystal clear image.

Anyway these are things I wish the iPhone had.

Some are software based and you never know. As far as #1, maybe eventually but not for the iphone 12. There seemingly is no place to put the electronics, which is why the "notch" was created in the first place.

More customization would be nice though.

As far as Applecare protecting your investment? That doesn't make any sense. Do you expect the phone to be break-proof if you use it without a case?

I agree on the camera, but that's what happens when we pixel peep.

We're working hard on products you want.

2021. New MacBook Pro X. No ports. No buttons. No keyboard. $5000 starting price. Additional $500 for floating anti gravity keyboard signed by iJustine.

Can’t wait for her to refer to the smell as cinnamon!

Wearable market is still a niche market. 5 years in, everybody have iPhone. 5 years in, Apple Watch is still not as prevalent as iPhone.

By the way, mature man wearing high end watch, not Apple Watch.

Mature men don’t live by your rule book fortunately. Speak for yourself.

"we have our head down and are working"

On??? Lobbying? Adding another lens?

They're just words and I hope others see that. Tim is the silver-tongue wordsmith that Steve never had to be.

And I thought this is the exact line that Steve always used.

I think we have enough products and accessories, and given Tim Apple doesn't believe in design change since the mac mini, and Mac Pro, and Macbook all maintain mostly the same design, I think we should lay back on building NEW products and IMPROVE current products.

I really can see a lot of improvement that can be made on things like Safari to compete against Chrome, iWork to compete against MS Office, and MacOS (that has like only 12% Market share) against Windows.

Good idea to up the software quality for sure but Apple is also responsible to its shareholders and has to generate profit. That’s where new products come in handy, the software quality is more to keep us buying more of the stuff. :)

Can Apple make the 6.7" 12 Max Pro noticeably lighter and still get better battery life compared to 11 Pro Max?

Yes, he can make it structurally weaker (lighter) like the ipad pros. Lightness of a feather, bendy like a banana. 🤭

Thinnest metal flat sides, thinnest glass front and back. Soft internal battery. It will look industrial and beautiful out of the box but will be as fragile as a faberge egg.

It's OK though Tim's got you covered with the most expensive leather cases ever sold for iphone along with the highest priced Apple care. IPHONE 12 PRO MAXIMUS.

I don't have an iPad Pro but when I demo it at a store its lightness is an excellent attribute. A heavy iPad would really suck.

I have iPhone 11 Pro Max. It would be an excellent attribute if 12 Pro Max is larger and lighter.

Oh I agree, but to achieve this lightness compromises have to be made.

To achieve wireless charging Apple chose to make a glass sandwich iphone which increased weight. Glass is heavy but allows wireless charging, this was the compromise.

To make the ipad pro lighter Apple used a very thin metal frame with zero internal structure support. Also the glass is thinner. It is very easy to bend these ipads but it feels super light, this was the compromise.

1.5 billion active Macs? LMAO. It's about 500 million with a large proportion of them up to 12 years old.

The correct figure is 1.5 billion Apple devices. That's everything... iPhones, iPads, Macs, Watches, etc.

But total active Macs are only around 100 million as of two years ago. And I can't imagine their installed base has grown much since then.

Hope that helps. :p

Cmon stop complaining, you get lots of new emojis and he has just hired a dude who can draw really well, the future is looking bright, who needs new tech features when you can make FaceTime calls and look like a muppet !

fixed by contacting Apple. literally received a new pair in the mail the next day.

and that was just AirPods Pro. original AirPods was a great product. point still stands

I contacted Apple support and they told me there’s nothing they can do. No replacement, no possibly for a firmware rollback.

Sounds like it's time for a 6.2" iPhone and a 10.3" iPad along with some new AirPod Pro Plus models

i don't think you did, or the support person you got has no clue what they're talking about.

i did this several days ago. i told them my ANC wasn't good. they asked if i redid the pairing, I said yes. so they said they'll send replacements. they placed a $300 hold on my credit card since I'm receiving a new pair while still using an old one. I just shipped out my bad AirPods after receiving the new ones.

my friend did it this morning and she got the same treatment as well.

there's also a reddit thread where many people did the same thing and got replacements
i don't see anyone getting shot down from apple support except you.

I didn’t say Macs, did I? It is a massive amount of Macs though.

We were talking about Macs and you should stay on that instead of throwing up something else. 500 million Macs isn't good if many users are still running 12 year old systems. The whole Mac Pro forum is literally almost everyone using a 2009-2012 computer. A large chunk of posts on the MBP forum are people who still use systems from 2011-2015 and they have less problems than the newer models.

Don't be an apologist. You make things worse for all of us. If you want a cult there are plenty to choose from. Moon boy cult, anti vaccination cult, anti Jewish cult, white power cult, God power cult, Death Cults, Space Cults, Triangle Cults.

A computer company isn't a cult. It's a corporation selling you a piece of metal and plastic.

And I'm talking complaints in general...there more complaints with other products too, but with 1.4-1.5B products, that's going to happen.

500M Macs are too many for no complaints. 10M would be too many for no complaints.

You guys are incredibly focused on your personal situation and I'm telling you the Mac lineup is beloved (Because the data says so).

Even so, what’s wrong with having a product executed right the first time, even if that means it takes longer? Apple is notorious for always releasing products that may seemingly take longer, but they proven how many times over what makes their product so unique To the user experience when they invest more time/R&D into something, versus rush something out to the masses‘ that may not have been ready for a public release.

The Apple Watch is a good example of that, they were never the first to have a smart watch on the market, and yet when it was finally released in 2015, [even when all the other competitors had their watches released], Apple owns the competition alone in the wearable market. Case-in-point really.

Same story with the iPod. Everyone said it was a joke and meaningless because they were so “late” to the mp3 market.

Yet that device owned its market very quickly and changed the world.

This is what Apple almost always has done — come late to the party but gets it right where others mostly fail, until they copy what Apple does.

MacBook Air in sub notebook market is another example. Nothing like it before it, but now everyone is selling something like it.
