It’s funny that you think Trump is stupid. When you look back at EVERYTHING he had done, it’s very easy to see the calculated and precise moves he makes. When he looks “stupid and impulsive”, you should be looking for the other moves he is making in the background. It’s very interesting. But muh, the media tells me to be mad at Drumpf so I’m going to be mad.

lol.

...you say this yet the one and only accomplishment he has had is the disastrous and unpopular tax bill which added massive amounts to or deficit in order to give tax breaks to the wealthiest among us. Beyond that he has merely maintained, at a slower rate, the economic success the prior administration established following the fallout from the 2008 collapse. That’s it. Aside from that it has been failure and failure after embarrassing failure. Massive federal turnover, nonstop scandal, an agenda without policy and virtually no movement. His golf game is probably better than ever though. Plenty of time for that. Not to mention the sizable personal wealth he has acquired since in office through the use of his own properties for government business. He’s Al Capone in the Oval Office, but without any personal courage or toughness.

To be fair, he did get elected when no one was expecting it. I'd say that was a brilliant move, even though he had help... from the Russians.

Welp, you can thank Obama for not keeping election integrity. In fact he repeatedly told us that the U.S. election process was safe from interference.

A few social media posts by Russians didn't change the outcome of the election, and there is literally no proof that it did. Hillary Clinton was a terrible candidate. She didn't campaign correctly because she was too arrogant.

And if you want to talk about foreign interference in our election check out what the idiots down in San Fran are doing: http://abc7news.com/politics/sf-dep...-registration-forms-for-non-citizens/3774020/

You can't be against Russian interference and FOR illegal aliens voting in our election.

Trump MAJOR Accomplishments (Year 1) -> https://pastebin.com/EWs6jTa6
Trump MAJOR Accomplishments (Year 2) -> https://pastebin.com/PaFTCNPH

...this is what you have to offer? I was a Congressional aide for well over a decade. You may as well have copied and pasted random pieces of legislation that he had absolutely nothing to do with. As for the Executive Orders...you want to count pieces of paper he signed authorizing or rescinding actions he has sole authority over? Is the bar really that low? The only effort it took was lifting a pen. They require absolutely no power, influence, consensus or effort.

With both economic and immigration statistics, he has merely maintained the trends that existed long before he came into office. The economic benefits that we reap now did not begin when Trump was sworn into office. They came about due to actions taken following the 2008 collapse and federal responses to it by Congress and the Obama administration. Illegal immigration has been at historic lows and trending down for a very long time. The most dramatic actions taken by the Trump administration in terms of immigration have been a rolling back of protections for children and due process for those apprehended.

Did you bother to actually watch the video? They provided registration forms to people with children who are legally allowed to vote in local school board elections. That’s it. Some people. With children. Only local school board elections. Why? Because legal residents of California voted on a proposition allowing it.

It’s funny that you think Trump is stupid. When you look back at EVERYTHING he had done, it’s very easy to see the calculated and precise moves he makes. When he looks “stupid and impulsive”, you should be looking for the other moves he is making in the background. It’s very interesting. But muh, the media tells me to be mad at Drumpf so I’m going to be mad.

lol.

Trump's "calculated and precise moves he makes". Right. Think his White House may finally have had to borrow a couple clerks from one of the SCOTUS justices to be able to write an EO on his travel ban that could actually pass muster with the U.S. Constitution (a pesky little piece of paper, that one, eh?).

lol indeed.

And that's before he laid tariffs on Canadian newsprint figuring hey that's one way to kill off the free press, jack up the price of the paper some of them still print real news on... and before the Canadians carefully picked retaliatory tariffs aimed just at red states (and meanwhile also calibrated not to step on their own supply chains).

lol lol. Your boy: "Trade wars are easy to win."

Maybe so. And maybe no easier to lose than some of the midwest states he won in 2016 and is now trailing off badly in, according to polls for upcoming midterm elections.

But hey, Trump never puts party or country either in front of that mirror he gazes into all day when not taking whimsical policy ideas off Fox & Friends or that clever ace Hannity.

...you say this yet the one and only accomplishment he has had is the disastrous and unpopular tax bill which added massive amounts to or deficit in order to give tax breaks to the wealthiest among us.

Ah, the old left wing talking point -- "only for the wealthiest among us."

Let me guess, you either:

1) Don't earn enough to pay substantial taxes.
2) Don't pay enough in taxes because of your personal exemptions.
3) Don't look at your pay stub.
4) Don't have a job.

Because otherwise, you'd wouldn't be saying that. I'm not rich by any means, I have zero for exemptions because I actually pay my taxes each week, and I keep track of my pay stub. Yes, my net pay has increased by a couple thousand this year. Not bad for "crumbs."

Again, another left wing talking point. The economy has done substantially better under Trump in all sectors. Even Democrats are starting to admit it. The DOW was mostly flat for all of 2015 and 2016, thanks to the Obama administration's punishing industry regulations. Others did better, like the tech heavy NASDAQ. However, overall growth of the economy was pretty lackluster under Obama. Sure, the markets did increase, mainly because they had nowhere to go but up after 2008. I'll give him credit for shepherding a steady growth, but it was slow and anemic. It's definitely not something left wingers should be chest thumping over, especially when Obama realistically had 6 years to make magic happen after the recession.

...this is what you have to offer? I was a Congressional aide for well over a decade.

And I'm the King of England.

No one cares what your personal history is on an internet forum, since you can't prove it. Waste of an argument.

Yes I watched the video. You haven’t refuted anything I’ve said though.

He’s done more in 2 years than 44 did in 8.

If by more you mean, embarrassed us as a nation, you are being modest. He has done more to hurt our reputation than all the presidents combined. As for whatever other metric you might be applying, its not about quantity, because I agree he has put out more crap, its about quality. Which he has none of.

Such irony

You want to talk irony? smiles. read this discussion's title again... then read this thread. now THAT's ironic.

Cook is right, but I don't want to hear his political opinion until he says a single thing against Apple's best interest. He's been quite the "activist" yet somehow has never done that, so it just looks like he's lobbying or something.

He isn’t going to do that. It wouldn’t even make sense for him to. His professional responsibility and obligation is to the board of directors and the shareholders. That IS his job.

There are CEOs who do that. Elon Musk did it when he crossed Trump and gave up his spot in the advisory council. Tim Cook is not an activist if he does what you say, which would be ok if he weren't pretending to be one.

Oooh you got em LOL. Winning in peace talks with Putin (Syria), and NK. Winning battles with tariffs against China for stealing our intellectual property. I can add more but you would just ignore it.

But MUH we are “embarrassed” on the national stage. Lol.

But you wouldn'y buy one, as it would be too expensive.

This really is a problem. If we assemble our beloved iPhones / iPads / Apple Watches in the USA it will cost more in labor and regulatory compliance costs. On the other hand, if we continue to embrace them being assembled in China, the workers there are exploited for low wages and people in this country can't work those jobs. It's a lose/lose proposition.

A few years ago, I purchased a product called the Hot Logic Mini. It said, Made in China on the base. I reached out to the company on Facebook. I was shocked to hear that they were actually moving production to Michigan. I asked on Facebook how they could make them for the same price in Michigan as China. The owner replied that it does cost them more to make them here in the USA but they'll take that little hit to be able to employ friends and neighbors. Since then, I have purchased several more.

Would it cost more to assemble iPhones in the USA? No doubt. But are we saying that it is okay to exploit low wage workers, as long as they aren't in this country by doing it? Tim Cook could avoid these tariffs. He could choose to assemble these products in the USA.

I really wish people would stop using the word "exploited". It really doesn't apply to Chinese factory workers. Most of them, prior to gaining a factory job, lived in the rural areas in abject poverty. I lived in post-Cultural Revolution China and can attest to the soul grinding communist imposed poverty that the majority of the population lived in, (and still does in the rural farming areas). People seek out these factory jobs to improve their lives, and they do. These factories are lifting millions out of poverty, even if they aren't on a par with Western working conditions. Apple and the others who have created these jobs have done more to make life better for the Chinese people than any of the governments 5 year plans or any amount of foreign aid. Yeah, you and I wouldn't like to work there, but it is a sure step up from where they were and thousands still line up to get a job in one of these places. Things may not be the greatest, but they have improved greatly over the years, (primarily as a result of consumer concern and the Western corporations insistence). Now, Trump's trade war imperils not just American jobs, but Chinese jobs, too.

Okay, I get it. You don't like us saying that the Chinese workers are being exploited because they are getting a fair wage for the area of the world that they are in. So who is getting screwed? Oh right, the American workers who cannot afford to work for such a pittance of a wage. It makes sense. I don't condemn the corporations for making their products using the cheapest labor possible. Why manufacture or assemble in the USA? Let's face it, it's cheaper to use Chinese labor and ship it here. We, the American workers have priced ourselves right out of a manufacturing economy. Those high wage demands and benefits have caught up to us.

As President Obama told that guy from Carrier, there's always the option to retrain. I hear there is a shortage of truck drivers.
