And I've been more than clear that my focus is on the behavior, NOT the individuals.

What does that even mean? You don't have to "support his homosexuality." You simply have to want for him the same rights anyone else has.
So, you use mythology as a smoke screen to cover your own bigotry against homosexuals. Check.
The debate is not against animals. It is about human, moral choice. Galatians Chapter 5 is the best explanation for my argument, as it outlines the acts of the sinful nature (man's natural state) and how it is in conflict with the fruit of the Spirit of God, which comes from accepting Christ as your Lord.
With regards to "experimentation", the Bible has this to say, both old and new testaments (again, don't shoot the messenger):
Leviticus 20:13: "'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
1 Corinthians 6:9: "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
So yes, it does say it. Specifically.
However, to that it adds the escape clause, as it were:
1 Timothy 1:9 onwards: "We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus."
interesting... how long did it take you to get to that point? And what made you decide to finally do it?
I've been interested in doing some sort of solar panels or something to cut my dependency on the power company.

Whatever your thoughts are on stoning rapists, surely we can all agree that adulterers should be put to death, right?!?! As stated in Leviticus 20:10.
*Sigh*
Well, bigotry is an ugly word with way more attached to it than you care to expand on, it seems. And I've been more than clear that my focus is on the behavior, NOT the individuals.
So instead of "bigotry" I'd use "disagreement" instead.
But stick to your guns if you want to.

Your refusal to list even one of the reasons guts your argument.
I don't trust Wikipedia as a reliable source since it is so easily manipulated by anyone. Can you provide a more credible source?
If you read between the lines, the ONLY reason he did it was to set an example for gay people thus, pushing an agenda. Doesn't get any simpler than that.
Homosexuality is not a behavior. People don't choose to be homosexual. My choice of the word "bigot" was absolutely apt. You're using your religion as an excuse to mask your bigotry.

That would present a massive depopulation problem among other things. There some crimes that cause more immediate and lasting damage than others. I would like to think that society could regain a sense of shame where our broken sexuality is concerned without having to resort to such drastic deterrents.
*Sigh*

And as I've posted before, there is a large community of individuals that DO actually choose to be gay.
That's not to say that ALL gays choose.
No. It isn't. That is always a terrible comparison. Even many in the LBGT community don't like that comparison. Genetically, those aren't in the same sphere.
