I forgot the Neo. The Neo is certainly an exception. Sadly, all of the other products have been rehashes for too long with just minor chip upgrades. The physical hardware has grown a bit long in the tooth

"Minor chip upgrades" huh? Today you can buy a MBP that is more powerful than my 3 year old M2 Max Mac Studio. That's hardly a "minor chip upgrade". That's exactly where the money's going, and the M series chips are still leading the industry.

Well, it’s a bit of a stretch to claim that I have lost as a consumer, considering that I have probably purchased way more Apple products under Tim Cook compared to Steve Jobs.

Stuff like Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple Pencil and Apple silicon were released under Tim Cook’s tenure, so credit where credit is due.

No, you are doing it wrong. Tim is to be blamed for all failures (AI delay for example), but given no credit for any success since the employees did it!

Of course he’s not gonna leave Apple

Even if he steps down at CEO it would be crazy to just get him out of the company considering the man works wonders when it comes to getting the products made

At the very least he’d be chairman of the board or some stuff but I can imagine him reprising his older role with some kind of higher pay arrangement or whatever

This is the biggest fallacy. That Cook is holding up the stock price or holding the company together. He's at the head of the company, but the success is because of all the people that work underneath him. He's not some grand visionary or leader.

So he gets no credit for the success of the company but the blame for anything that goes wrong such as the delayed AI?

Did I mention blame or delayed AI? sounds like putting your own words in someone else's speech.

Safe bet 99.9 percent of those at the top are not nice people whether its business or politics. You don't reach the top being a nice person.

Not true. I did it being very kind to my staff, in several companies but I also followed Machiavelli and didn’t take anyone FA with me. They FO. You have to be ruthless in the face of bad people, but that applies to anyone. You can’t let people take advantage of you.
