How does knowing how to manipulate the stock market equate to intelligence?

I guess Albert Einstein wasn't intelligent because he couldn't get rich in the stock market. Okay. I see.

Do you realize how foolish these comments are?

I could go into detail and demonstrate it to you if you want me to

Everything that Cook said makes sense. It was (at least IMVNSHO) True. It had the elegance of Apple cleanliness and polish. What it also has, that ... somewhat ... differentiates him from Steve Jobs (only somewhat, IMO, because I think Steve Jobs can be read very differently than he is portrayed), is humility. I think that that speaks volumes for Cook.

Sorry, but after now seeing a good number of interviews with Tim Cook, I can't help but feel like the guy is a bit of a dick. And I don't say this lightly.

Just my opinion, of course. Let the flames begin.

Wow, I learned a LOT more in this interview than that stupid All Things D interview with Mossberg and Swisher where they kept prodding him for information they KNEW he wasn't going to give them.

No need to flame you, because you're right. It's actually encouraging to hear Cook being described in such a manner, it shows that he can at least relate to a bit of Jobs' managerial style while still being his own person.

Not smart enough to keep the stock from tanking.

"Growth in Apple’s profits dramatically slowed and sales fell short of Wall Street’s expectations, reinforcing concerns among investors that the consumer electronic giant’s days of white-hot growth may be over."

Perpetual growth isn't sustainable. This is one of the fundamental problems with public ownership. This expectation is foolish.

How's that name pronounced anyway? Fuqua...

Contrary to Wall Street hawk's and many other's hatred for Tim Cook, I should say that I love how he is handling the situation.

Filling in for Steve Jobs is impossible and so Tim treads carefully and thinks before he speaks.

Good job, Sir. Keep the products rolling.... and just settle with Samsung for a fee and be done with it, once for all.
