..what the hell is the matter with you people? Is life that empty for you?

It's a very important and special holiday in America - in which he is a citizen. Insane that a freaking holiday remembering troops who gave their life for their country would evoke such immature responses from people who have nothing better to do today (and are probably from another country).

Happy Memorial Day, Macrumors staff. Thank you for posting about it.

You were doing well until you said the highlighted/bolded part, isn't that immature/childish!

How is that immature?

Members from: Italy, UK, and Germany (twice) on the first page but good try deflecting away from the point.

I read your post, that's all I want to say, I just don't see a point to react to what you said here, my comment was self explaining.

Edit: I wish you a happy memorial day.:)

Wow!

Yeah, I guess the US should have just sat on the sidelines while tens of millions were threatened by fascism and tyranny.

I fear some will hate me for it - But the mass murder at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was any better?

Edit: I can't wait for the day this flame will hopefully be turned off 8(

Thank you too all the men and women in the military who risk(ed) their lives for us.

Imagine if Cook was as committed to his CEO/technologist role as with his virtue signalling publicity chase.
We might actually have products that were up-to-date and a bit overpriced, instead of products that were ridiculously outdated and so overpriced it's funny?

Tim, you want to honor freedom? How about paying your overdue taxes and corroborating with government agencies tasked with the responsibility of protecting us from terror.
You mean cooperating. And sure, nothing bad could ever come from trusting the government with your privacy.

smh. I can tell that it would be quite a waste of time to even attempt to get you think rationally through what appears from you to be nothing but ideas based upon emotion. The world is unfortunately not comprised of rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns.

Overdue taxes???? What overdue taxes? Where did you get this information from? Because as far as we know, the IRS hasn't taken any action against Apple.

And that would be surprising if they owed taxes and are getting away with it. Because Apple has had a brightly lit target on it back for decades.

Umm there was that little group in your Country that declared War on the US.

So how much damage did the us homeland suffer in WW2? There is no good war, but many Americans are under the delusion that there *are* good wars - That is the most dangerous thing on this planet since the end of WW2.

Perhaps word from Spiderman make it more understandable: "With great power comes great responsibility" - For some time now the us is mia on this aspect.

I thought people that in line with his view don't like police and military. They hate guns too, so it's all about rainbows and unicorns now. :D

We've come to a junction where a tweet has become some show of force rather than doing something.

I suggest you read a bit, and not just comic books. The United States was attacked and even had it not a) there's no reason to think Hitler would have stopped with just Europe and Asia and b) it would not have been right to let your country continue their atrocities even without ambitions against the United States; we waited too long as it is.

I'm not going to bother responding to you any further. You can take issue with war as a concept and certainly the justification used in some specific wars but to issue a blanket statement that no US war since the revolution was in defense of freedom is outright false.

I can't help but feel sorry for Native Americans and their lack of freedom and ownership. Freedom in America is a bit of a one-sided deal.

Really...

Then I guess Europeans should feel guilty for the extinction of Neanderthals by Homo Sapiens. Or is that too far in the past to make a point?

I 100% agree with that quote. But give the US some time in the next few years. Don't worry. They'll lead the free world again, because god knows no one in Europe has the balls to. (Except maybe the Poles and other ex-eastern bloc nations who know what it's like to live under the boot of oppression.) But whether individual European nations (other than the eastern bloc that unfortunately do not have the best economies) decide to follow...well, that remains to be seen.

People need to realize that there is in fact good and evil in this world, and not just differences. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are different. Murdering someone because of such differences is evil. Plain and simple.

I think "corroborating" doesn't mean what you think it means. As far as cooperating is concerned, the NSA (who should know best of all US agencies) has said repeatedly that breaking people's security is overall damaging to national security. And then they proved the point by not being able to keep their own exploits out of the hand of hackers, who among others attacked the British health service. Using exploits stolen from the NSA.

Yes, exploits will be exploited and legal loopholes will be exploited even more, better that neither exist (or we strive for that at least).
