And the whole time he will be dressed in very casual clothes making it seem like he is relatable to the common folks, this way we don't feel so bad about spending money on him.
How about showing us his cars, house(s), his list of waitstaff, limo drivers?
Nope, we get the shirt and jeans version.
This way he comes across as some Best Buy worker.
SJ did the same thing....they all do.
Later Microsoft picked up on it, Google is now doing it too, so is Samsung.
SJ started his business in a garage. And he has been true to his own humble origin. And SJ never tried to pretend he is a better person. He just built smarter products, created smarter ads to show he is smarter than other smart people such as Bill Gates. On the contrary, TC does not focus on products as much as on himself.
[doublepost=1537241352][/doublepost]Let’s bet if the current CEO would talk about the rights of such and such. TC is out there to save another lichen, another hypo, another rain drop, again.

Somebody needs to hit em with the hard questions.

Where is air power?
Isn't a $1500 dollar phone insane?, a Phone!!
Why is your company selling outdated Mac's as old as 2013?
Why is HomePod inferior to the competition at double the price?
Why was SE discontinued and not updated?
Why was only a Million dollars donated for hurricane victims when your company is worth a Trill?

Forget about Tim that will not tell us something new or interesting about airpower etc
After we will get Captain Marvel first trailer

/s The only people watching will the those who short APPL in the hope that he'll say something that can make them Millions (or even Billions). Tim Cook is not Elon Musk so is highly unlikely to put his foot in it.
As others have said, it will be bland and controlled but APPL will probably drop after the broadcast because that is the nature of things these days. Any publicity is now bad publicity. Sell ! Sell ! Sell ! /s (yes, I am being sarcastic and I'm not offering any financial advice)

With the Spacey-style #metoo rumors swirling around Silicon Valley, I guess Cook is trying to pre-empt them by appearing as a good guy.

There will be one question that will be asked: "Is $1449 for a iPhone a little expensive?"

It’s not a phone. A phone is something that sits on a desk or table and makes and receives phone calls. period.

If in, say, 1990, I had told you I was going to offer you a device that you could take ANYWHERE and make and receive calls but, in addition, it offered the following...

Gigabytes of storage.
One of the best small form-factor cameras on the planet.
Wifi, bluetooth and NFC.
Text, photo audio and silly emoji messaging.
Secure payment and thousands (millions) of outlets.
The ability to recognise your (and only your) face for security.
The ability to recognise your (and only your) face for making dancing emojis.
High resolution audio and video storage and playback.
Access to the entire internet. All of it.
Access (and syncing) of all your emails and whether or not you have read or marked them.
High quality on-device video editing.
High quality on-device audio editing.
High quality on-device photo editing.
An operating system that beats any 1990s computer by a country mile.
An alarm clock.
A calendar.
100% free messaging systems over wifi.
Ability to watch your favourite TV shows and/or YouTube (coming in 2005) videos you want - anywhere in the world.
Fitness tracking.
A complete turn-by-turn map system.
Access to read, comment, upload, download etc. from every social network on the planet.
Ability to control your TV and/or your speakers from anywhere in the house.
Ability to control your hone DVR from anywhere in the world.
Ability to check your bank statements, move money, make payments etc.

And that there would be NO extra cost for any of those features...

Then what price would YOU put on this 'phone' you speak of...?

These types of comments always makes me chuckle. Now don't get me wrong I'm not defending $1500 as it is a lot of money and I do struggle with the price, however it's not just a phone. If all you could do was make calls and send texts then you'd class it as a phone but you could hardly compare these to the old Nokias of the past.

You have a very powerful computer in your pocket. To put it into perspective the iPhone 6 (not sure about the later iPhones) can perform 3.36 billion instructions per second. Put simply, the iPhone 6’s clock is 32,600 times faster than the best NASA computers that put Apollo on the moon and can perform instructions 120,000,000 times faster.

Not bad for just a phone ;)

can't stand cook. bland, boring guy. Has turned Apple into a consumer electronics company. myself, like others will be looking for other solutions when it's time to replace our desktop computers. The Mac line is dying, and no one at Apple seems to give a ****.

Like watching paint dry that never dries. Tim reminds me of a 50 year old fourth grade teacher who is a perpetual bachelor, lives with his mother, drives a 1988 Lebaron convertible, and wears varying colors of Members Only jackets to school sporting event because they are great singles opportunities.

My god the imagery from this is hard to get rid of. ;)

how many softball fluff questions can they jam into 10 minutes with Tim Cook I wonder?

Strategic Marketing, upon the release of new products. Did Tim Cook participate in any interviews last year for the 8 and X release. If not I am not sure what to make of this involvement.

This clown is better off not saying anything at all. Does it also replace a FM radio? A $50 Moto or Huawei do.

Apple CEO Tim Cook defended the highest-priced new iPhones, telling ABC's "Good Morning America" that it replaces every other gadget consumers might need.

"The phone has replaced your digital camera. You don't have a separate one anymore. It's replaced your video camera. It's replaced your music player. It's replaced all of these different devices," Cook said.

Sure, tunein works great and I can even get stations out of radio wave line of sight. (and "the clown" got Apple to $1T...must cause some people some cognitive dissonance)

So, Tim will be busy then over the next few months with TV appearances. Almost sounds like, "a new star is born" (..or an older one)
