I don't know. I am going to see if I can dig it up when I get home from work. If someone knows for sure, it would be nice to save me some time.is her email aahrendts@apple.com?

Did you not sign up on pre order night? This was on option through the Apple Store app. I'm a new member and just clicked upgrade program as my payment method. I had to put in my credit card info, my social, and my DOB and it said I'd find out later if I was accepted into the program. I got my confirmation email immediately and about 12 hours later got verification that my loan request was approved. It also is shipping (2-3 weeks though) and I don't need to go in store. So it's literally just people already in the program who they're reaching out to? It's a shame cause I'm ready and waiting to sign up it's just my local store has never had my configuration in stock and I'm not joking. They've released no reservations for the config. iPhone 7 Plus 32GB Black.
Currently on hold for 1hr 26min. After 40min hold got a nice lady. Explained that I'm currently enrolled in the IUP and tried ordering a phone as soon as pre-orders went live but nearly al the models showed as sold out. She took my number, IMEI, 1st and 2nd preferred models and preferred store - said she would wait with me on hold for the team handling the situation. She keeps checking back in every 5-10min - super nice. I used to work in Apple retail and can certainly tell you that being friendly and not having an attitude when calling in gets you further than bitching at the specialist.
Here you go, it sounds like he reads all emails and then forwards on to executive team to help out if necessary. Cant promise anything, but may help!

I feel like the whole issue can be resolved if IUP customers are allowed to get the phones shipped to their homes with instructions on how to trade in/activate the new phone.
Would make a lot more sense, but it is probably harder from the business side. Double the shipping charges they have to absorb, and you will have x% of bozos try to keep both phones and the bank has to write that off, making it not profitable.
Okay, I've sent him an email. I even CC'd Tim Cook into the email. I feel like such a rebel, but it's a cause that needs fighting because we missed out just as much as those in the US.
Awesome, haha don't worry - I copied in Tim also! Hopefully it works out for you, which phone we're you trying to get?
Because being on hold for 90 min and still not having any answer is getting far, right?
I might be one of the first to hit the 48 hour point since I finally got through to Apple Support. No call back. Not a good sign.
I did get a separate call about an email I sent Tim (during the first day when Apple Support was impossible to reach). Hopefully something will come of that.

Edit: sorry, I didn't read further into the thread to see it was a UK only issue
Saw it yesterday and called. 30-40 min on the phone with a rep to upgrade 2 phones. They ask you what phone and which store you want to pick it up. Im supposed to get a call today or tomorrow from them to see what kind of options I got since no guarantee was made that the phone I wanted will be available.
If you don't return the old phone, Citizens One would just keep charging you the monthly fee for the remaining months of the 24 month loan, then the phone is yours anyway. Nobody needs to write off anything.Would make a lot more sense, but it is probably harder from the business side. Double the shipping charges they have to absorb, and you will have x% of bozos try to keep both phones and the bank has to write that off, making it not profitable.
Nope, just ship it directly to the nearest store (all IUP customers had to sign up at a store so they'll most likely live near one too).
I'm not sure what everyone on hold is waiting for.
It's not like they are going to make more units for you overnight.
All units they have are spoken for, the only way they will "find" one for you is to steal it from someone else! Which is the exact "preferred" treatment you said you are not asking for, just want it to be equal, apparently.![]()
