Which NYC stores did you look at? I'm only seeing sprint and Verizon and none for ATT.

Wth the updated stock I was able to reserve a 128 gb iPhone in Miami but it wasnt until after i reserved my time slot I realized it was a 7 and I want a 7 Plus so I'm calling Apple to cancel my reservation. Still waiting on my follow-up call, I called yesterday, so I will patiently wait tomorrow.
I think it's slowly rolling out. I checked earlier at first and then minutes later another store in my state appeared.
I am in NYC and have checked all the stores and see nothing. Unless all the stock that was allocated has already been depleted.
Still waiting for my call back with the IUP specialist since it hit the 48 hour timeline... Happened to see one of the comments mentioning availability at some stores.... Was able to reserve 128gb matte black att at NYC world trade center location... This was about 8:20pm EST....
Fifth Avenue and GCS: Verizon Black 256 and other sizes.
I'm wondering now since that is the model I want if I have some weird coding in the database. That would be TOO weird.
Does no one else see these models available at these locations?!
Could we be seeing it roll out only for select people?

Well, it's not wide open for me. 
The 7 plus Verizon Black 256s at Fair Oaks in Virginia are all gone, and that's my preferred store. So, these look like real stock to me, and are being reserved.
The variability of the visibility as it were is crazy.

Thanks for that heads up. I was just going to wait for a call back tomorrow, but I checked like you said... the closest apple store had a Verizon 7 Plus 256gb (oddly black was the *only* color that location had for the 256gb Plus on Verizon... other locations had just Rose Gold). I tried reserving it and there was nothing requiring Verizon account info, so... I reserved it. Guess we'll see what happens.
Edit: I should mention that a VZ model has always been my preference since it's "universal" / can be used on Verizon / Sprint in addition to AT&T + T-Mobile, while the AT&T / T-Mobile phones are GSM only this year.

So, anywhere I reserve a Black 256 Plus, I get one? Hmmm. I only gave them two stores as 'preferred' and one of them just went out of stock on the model I actually want. (I don't want to reserve because I can't be there until Sunday.)
As to what 5th Ave has: I see for 256 Plus Verizon: all except JB; 128: all except JB and S
Ok so it seems the BEST way to see the MOST phones is via the Apple store APP. I checked my local stores via pc and only a few phones in stock. When I check via the APP every Verizon phone is in stock except for the Jet Black.

Yeah that's really bizarre. Do you mind checking again at Fifth Ave and see if they have just run out or if you still see it as available. Very strange.

I don't see those. I agree with the others. Odd. My area (Austin) doesn't have any new phones. I'm at 36 hours from my call to the iUP department and am worried that they'll have bad news for me based on the recent posts from DFW where they told people they still can't help.

I said I did!King of Prussia PA for example shows NO Verizon 7+ on PC. On App it shows ALL in stock except Jet Black.

And it shouldn't be different results. Both should spin off to reserve-us.apple.com. The app isn't really doing the checking.

I had previously had 2 reservations passes in the reservation section of my Apple Store app for 7's as back ups... Deleted one and was able to get the 7 Plus.

Agreed. I was wondering if this was foreshadowing bad news down the road. I gave a call in yesterday so I was late to that party.
I just reserved one in DFW, but if it helps I told them on the phone that was my location and they seemed optimistic...
Extremely strange and it's hard to believe they have some priority code in the database for this case already or that it has been coded in the last few days. It's useless to me in any event unless I'm told any reservation is good for more than the date it's made...
If I don't hear something from the IUP team tomorrow, I'll try to make a rez for Sunday on stock available at that time using the app.
