My question, which has been asked by others but not addressed:

AT&T and T-Mobile are both GSM phones.
I'm on T-Mobile, but I want a black phone, and all the stores in New York have black for AT&T but not for T-mobile.

So I went ahead and made a reservation for AT&T. When I get there, will I be able to be like "oops I meant t-mobile?"
What's the best way to go about this?

So the t mobile and att phones are the exact same model. I believe when you go just tell them you want to use this phone for the iPhone upgrade program (or full price) with t mobile. That's it. I'm doing this at 4 today.

I just talked to Apple rep about this and she said you can purchase in full a SIM Free ATT device without issues... so yes I'm thinking you can
Do you know if this is only for purchase in full? I'm looking to start a new IUP plan.

So, my local Apple Store has 128 and 256 variants of the Plus in Black.

Anyone know the pluses or minuses of this vs the Verizon DPP? I was able to use the Matte Black version yesterday and while I like the finish of the Jet Black more, I don't think I can not put it in a case. So it'll be covered up anyway.

Would I have to sell my 6S+ on my own and then just pay Verizon off? Or do I trade this in to Apple?

Also, since the IUP includes AppleCare+, I would be able to cancel insurance through Verizon. The only thing AppleCare+ doesn't cover is theft or loss.

AT&T model will work on T-mobile and if you choose to pay in full price it shouldn't really matter. Unless you are going to use the iUP then you'd probably want to stick with the carrier you currently on.

I just made a reservation for my brother this morning here in Texas. 7+ 128gb matte black AT&T using my wife's iPhone upgrade program email link. I want to just buy it outright. We will see if they let me do that. If not, back to waiting for his oct 4th - 10th delivery date.

So why do apple have different stock of at&t and T-Mobile? If they are both the same model and both unlocked then why would they be out of stock of T-Mobile but have stock of at&t? Makes no sense to me, I just want to buy an unlocked gsm device

They will allow you to do so.

So just to clarify... even though I am not on IUP but currently with At&t Next, I can still reserve a 7 and be able to pick up in store and stay on my Next Plan and not be force to pay in full or get in IUP?
This is my question currently. I'm in California and wondering if I should try to get a phone today...

This is literally like Christmas for everyone..... I'm so glad everyone is able to get what they're wanting and actually get it way earlier than expected...

Anyone have an 11 A.M. reservation on the east coast that could let us know how it goes?

Did you do this? I called my store and it transferred me to corporate who told me I'd have to sign up for the upgrade program.

Someone posted a screen cap a page back where it says you can pay in full just ask the specialist.. and I've seen others using this link to pay in full...

This is my first year getting one after the first day. How long is the reservation good for? All day today from my time and later?

I am an ATT customer with next and was eligible to upgrade. I reserved the phone. Went in and they let me purchase the phone through att next with no questions asked. This reservation insures that your phone is waiting for you to pick up and whatever time slot you chose. You are not obligated to apple upgrade program or anything. You can purchase or finance the phone however you like.

If anything I guess I could play dumb... "I reserved it I have the email and I drove here from 2 hours away to pick it up" that kinda thing. But that is SUPER reassuring news! Did they originally think it was for the upgrade program, or did they not even mention it at all?
