T-Mobile phones definitely seem to be the ones with the lowest supply. I haven't been able to find any black 128 Pluses in the NYC area and I've been checking regularly.

Verizon, on the other hand, has much greater availability.

I setup my Mac mini server with an auto refresher for Bjorn's iPhone IUP site and had distill send me an email with html code changes. First time it updated it worked and got me a 256 T-Mobile MB . Was very happy.

Try reserve from a different carrier. I was able to reserve a MB 7+ 256 Verizon to use on AT&T yesterday. Paid in full, no questions asked.

So o just skimmed this thread and im still nervous. I'm disabled and an hour and a half to two hours away from all the apple stores closest to me. I'm going to be mighty ticked if they turn me away...

However, and im kicking myself hard for not saving the chat to prove this- I went online to chat yesterday asking about making a reservation to pay in full. It was Apples own support person who gave me the link to make the reservation. Claimed it was "a little bit hidden on the site because of limited availability". So, kind of interesting thats the case. I didn't know a thing about all this until I went to make the reservation after midnight and was carefully reading. By then chat was down too so I couldn't double check. Had tried calling a store first but was on hold so long I gave up. May try the chat again tomorrow before I head out.

Pretty interesting though, don't you think, that their own people gave me the reservation link, told me id have no issue, my phone would be there for me. Always get your darn chats emailed to you though since unfortunately I have no proof of this.

I actually signed a lease with Sprint because they wouldn't let me buy outright and I was so sick of trying to find a phone near me (and I've been using a $20 prepaid piece of garbage for two years so I'm desperate!!!!) And Sprint repeatedly reassured me they were getting the phones in fast and oh i should have it by Wednesday. Needless to say I called to check, they weren't nice at all like they had been when trying to make the sale, and oh oops week and a half or more. I was already ticked on the lease. Dont want extra monthly payments and couldnt get things low enough on the 256 I really wanted so went with the 128, threw down almost $500 upfront to bring my lease payments down to $4 a month and I've been in deep regret ever since... So here is hoping I get my 256gb GSM/CDMA rose gold iPhone tomorrow with no issues. Sure has been a ride. Ad a few iPhones before this and never had half as mich drama or issues...

But heads up to anyone still anxious as I am, try the chat (and save it for proof), feign ignorance and just ask if it's even possible. See if they direct you to the reservations like they did me. Sure should honor it when customer support promises it will all work, no issues buying outright, etc.

Whoever just beat me to the 256 black 7+ in Cerritos, I hate you! Okay, maybe hate is a strong word...

After days of setting alarms and waking up at midnight (and also constantly checking all throughout the day), fruitlessly searching for a black or jet black plus, I finally found one, and at the Apple store closest to my house to boot! I chose it to reserve, typed in my info and boom! By the time I did, it was gone. And now, no more black or jet black in LA.

This is the last day before I leave to go to the East Coast, and my last chance to have installed all my music on it before I go. I am an old lady (well middle-aged means old to you kids) that does iTunes backup and doesn't stream, also hence why I need ALARM CLOCKS to do something at midnight. Guess I start hunting in the Big Apple now.

So I take it back, I do hate you. Now until I can fall back asleep, I am going to pout about how I have to keep using this damn hand me down 5C phone - with too little storage for my apps or music until my preorder comes in November. Humph, I hope it hisses. (Not really, you beat me fair and square...but I am grumpy about striking out again right now).:(

I just got back from the Apple Store and like some of you, I can confirm that the employee did not give me hassle about not being a IUP member. I used the following link to reserve a Verizon iPhone 7 for pick up today:

https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/US/en_US/reserve/iPhone/availability?iPP=U

A little back story:

I pre-ordered the T-Mobile iPhone 7 full price on the Apple Store app because Verizon requires an account. I used it for about 14 days and reserved a Verizon iPhone 7 using the link provided on this thread yesterday.

Tonight I went to the store to try my luck and see if I can swap my T-Mobile for the Verizon one as I heard on here of some success. The lady scans the pickup code from my reservation email. As the lady was processing the swap, there was some issue and she went to talk to the Manager.

At this point I thought I was f'ed as she'll probably tell me I need to sign up for the IUP before I can buy this. Eventually she came back and issued a refund of the T-Mobile iPhone 7 on a gift card and used it to charge the Verizon iPhone 7.

I walked out with pretty much a full price Verizon iPhone 7 purchase without her even asking if I was a IUP member or required to sign up for one.

Therefore, it is still possible to reserve and purchase an iPhone outright using the IUP reservation link even with this new clause, but your mileage may vary.

Got a 128+ in matte black today at the SoHo store. The guy was going to let me pay in full but I told him I wanted to do the upgrade program. All things being equal, I still prefer jet black by a small margin - but not enough to use that 5C until my November preorder. I did try cancelling that online and couldn't, so I will call tomorrow and do it then. Thanks to istocklive and best wishes to all of you - hope you find your phones sooner rather than later.

Logged in at 12:01 PM and of the 3 local stores in the Orlando area, 2 had listed a 128 gig gold 7+. As soon as I clicked on the green checked circle, Apple's site showed unavailable. What gives?

This also happened yesterday. Is it hit or miss?

Forget black. They only exist in 32 gig. At least around here.

You will want to use the iUP link to be able to reserve. Istocknow.com shows it available but you have to click on iUP at the bottom. Or use the link posted above. When you click on the green it takes you to the order page. There are times when it still shows available on istocknow.com but on on the order page, may show unavailable for pick up. This just means that you may have it but through reservation.

I've seen this happen where istocknow.com showed it was available but going to Apple.com order page showed unavailable for pick up. However using the iUP link did show up available and you were able to reserve it.

I reserved my iPhone 7 plus on Thursday Sept 28 and picked up the phone on the 29th. It was the Westchester - Whiteplains NY location. It was a quick process and I also did the recycle ip program with them. They seem to have phones on stock so whoever is in in the NY area you should check periodically at this location and place your order.

How does the recycle ip program work? And what model did you recycle?

Apple will give you $$ for your iPhone. I had the Ip6 Plus 64 Gb model and they credited my account. I usually sell my phone on swappa but I didn't want to deal with this year, I know I could of gotten a better offer on Swappa but I preferred this time to take the instant offer Apple was providing me. The process is that I had to get the new iPhone and after that they offered me the recycling program and quoted me on what they would give me. Upon activating my new phone the Apple Rep reviews the phone to assess the condition and completes the transaction. I wipe my old phone and turn it over to Apple.

So Friday morning I woke up to get ready for work then something told me check the IUP link to see what's in stock. I was kinda over checking at this moment after several days of no luck. On the IUP link I saw T-Mobile 128gb in matte black available at 5th ave NYC. So I head over to the Apple Store App to purchase for pick up real quick! I was able to grab it for pick up using the app. I'm happy but honestly I really want the Jet Black, lol. My friend has hers and damn it feels so good in the hand and looks better. I actually taught the matte black was really matte on the back. The T-Mobile iPhone 7 Plus weather is Matte or Jet Black is so rare to get it that when I had the opportunity to jump on either I just grabbed it!
