I think there were 3 planes planned for the US and only two left so far. One from ZZ and one from HK

Now Apple is realizing that the last plane (no.3) won’t make it to the states in time so they are sending out delay emails.

Idk if I’m right, but if I am then it doesn’t matter if you are the first person to get your order in for release day shipping, or last person to sqaeak into release day shipping.

I was trying to do Apple store pickup on 11/3. During my search (that didn’t work out with the color I wanted) the shipping slipped back to 1-2 weeks. I submitted my order to ship before I wasted any more time.

Now I’m going to be hated: on Sunday I got an update that my phone would arrive on 11/3 and my card was billed. On Monday I got a UPS notification with my shipment from Foxconn.

So it’s a lottery your plane will leave on time once your pooled into a ship date

FYI: The color I didn’t want was available for store pickup over and hour later at my closest store a short drive away.

You wont it takes two minutes and ups walks you through it.

I believe they meant getting a delivery/shipping/pick up delay. Like having the package available for pick up after the 3rd because they opted for the UPS pick up instead.

To the experts - have a November 16th-24th delivery date, order just changed to "preparing for shipment" and credit card was charged. Any chance I'll get my phone on Friday!?

I think next year I am buying some extra iPhones on pre-order and selling them on eBay brand new. People pay money for those things!

Forgot to mention, while the status changed, the expected delivery dates remain the same. Maybe I'm being too anxious?

Wait what?!? Seriously? I have that shipment range. Were you really charged? Did you try the UPS track by reference thing?! You just gave me new hope that i may get my phone soon! What time did you order your phone?

I think this happened to me once, apple will show the later expected delivery but UPS will have the correct one. Apple will most likely update those dates once they mark it as Shipped.

Not kidding... But, don't know what it means yet - if anything. Counting on you guys.

I get the fear, but as long as they select a UPS CC location the date stays the same. They even put the locations hours and the pickup date before you confirm the change.
