So whats the latest the phones should be departed from china to still get here on launch day?
Well, the page just refreshed for me about 5 mins ago and changed:
It went from Delivers: Sept 25 - Oct 2 to the above. 🙂.
First bit of movement I've had on my order since I placed it Friday at 9:48am.
Still hoping it ships sooner than that 🙂

Yes... that's how it works... but not everyone will get a hit... but just because your phone doesn't show up here, remember... if you got a promised delivery date of 9/22, your phone will come on 9/22 whether you ever get to see it via this or not.

That's not really a lot of weight when you consider the packaging, the charger plug, the headphones, the cable and that Apple sticker... on top of the weight of the device.

So why... when I ordered at 9:48am Friday, is my delivery time the SAME as those who placed their order yesterday and an hour ago? 😛. Not that I'm mad, just curious. lol.

I ordered an 8+ yesterday -- was going to hold off and get the X, but I'll still get it and give the 8+ to my wife. Anyhow, shows will deliver 9/22. What's odd however is that it's also showing under my order history on Verizon's website (in all the years I've ordered it's never done that), so I have no idea if it's coming from Apple (credit card authorization was from Apple), or Verizon -- in the end it doesn't really matter, as long as it gets here, but not sure if this is the normal (or new) way it works now?
Also been sitting at "Preparing to ship" on Apple's site since yesterday, and no tracking using phone # or any variation of order # thus far.
Checked with Verizon, they say this is normal, guess I never poked around their site previous years to see it, but they say that info gets passed to them to let them know the customer upgraded or whatever.

Same here. What's the latest it will ship so i will get it by Friday? My order does say sept 22 delivery date

64 GB Silver, wanted black, but it doesn't matter it's just to appease me until the X comes and I decide if I still want it or not, then wife can have the 8+.

When I ordered the only one that still showed 9/22 was 64 GB in Gold or Silver, the rest were the 26th, and I wanted to have it this weekend so I had something to keep me entertained for a few minutes, lol.
If you have seen no movement, good bet it's already here in a warehouse somewhere. May not see something until midday tomorrow depending how close you are to a hub.

Mine just departed, which means yours probably did too.
Noticed earlier today no more in-store pickups/appointments for launch day. Also delivery times are pushed back 1-3 weeks depending on model/carrier/capacity.

Usually apple doesn't have unlocked phones at launch, They usually come a few weeks after the original launch. The iPhone 8 I believe is the first launch apple allows the purchased of an unlocked device at launch.

I ordered minutes after they went on sale and also don't have any UPS info yet. I have no doubt it will show up as promised, I just hope I have enough time to have it held at the customer center.
Yup carrier only for weeks to possibly months. To clarify, does that mean that in addition to purchasing the iPhone X, I must sign up for a plan?
I currently have a plan with AT&T but am interested in just purchasing the phone outright in lieu of having a higher monthly bill (i.e. equipment fee, etc.)
Would I be able to do that on launch day?
