How did you all find out what plane heads to “state” I’m in Oklahoma :3

Imported in Louisville at 11:03! Crazy to think it'll be in MA by tomorrow morning when the CC opens and I pick it up though....

I recall with a few iPhone deliveries in the past, while I expected the phone to go straight from SDF to JFK, it ended up flying SDF-PHL and then PHL-JFK all overnight and was on a truck for delivery early AM on release day. Who knows!

Ugh, hope that's not the case this year

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin

If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.
That invoice has the serial number on it.

Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices.

Yeah these are best guesses at this point. Despite being in the immediate Philly burbs one year mine flew to Newark and was trucked back down overnight. All comes down to other volume and such.

Now that Apple has sent out "Shipped" statuses, anyone check their serial number using http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html/?

I just did and got a production week of 43 2017 (October). Crazy! Week 43 corresponds to October 23 – October 29. Right off the assembly line!

FYI: You can get your device serial number from viewing the invoice on Apple's website.

Since I'm doing the in Store pickup, I don't see serial number information on the website. I'll have to wait until after tomorrow.

Did you ask to have it sent to a UPS store location? That might delay by one day when you can pick up the phone.

I've been following this thread since I pre-ordered, and I feel like we are all like family. lol After reading that all iPhones would be separated I got sad. hahaha We were all roomies for a while on the cargo plane.

Now we need to figure out if the feature that lets you track UPS trucks when out for deliveries is working for our packages tomorrow so we can make sure to be ready for the UPS delivery person and not risk missing our packages!

For anyone in the Sacramento, CA area last year I got my 7 plus delivered on launch day and it flew into the Mather Airport, I think I found our flight!

HAVE IT HELD AT THE UPS CC. That's where your package is once it comes to your state before being put onto truck

When they hold at the Customer Center you can pick it up that day. Normally early in the morning.

Flights won't come up on there until a flight plan has been filed.

Also, some flights are hidden on flightaware unless you create an account with them. So that could be it too.

Looks like those of us in Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Arlington) will have to wait until the very early morning flights to get from SDF to IAD and then to the Alexandria CC. I've had packages that haven't gotten to Alexandria CC until after 9 am, but they still get delivered on time!
