Has anyone ever paid the $8 for a "guaranteed" two hour delivery window? did it work? UPS delivers to my house usually around 8 to 9 pm.

I’ve heard that it can change the date, if they miss the window on the original delivery date.

I have and it usually is accurate. When it’s not, they refund you.

I am going to pay the $8 then. worth it not waiting all day.

You may be better off having it held at the customer center or at a UPS Store location. The latter puts you at some risk of delayed delivery, but you can minimize that risk by choosing a UPS location that is served by the same station that delivers your package. Also, make sure you do this before the package arrives at your local station.

Oh, I’ll be home all day, and I would much rather have home delivery than go to a public store like a UPS store during the pandemic! I just want to be able to pay to have it delivered as early as possible.

I just got two alerts from Ups that I have packages from Apple coming tomorrow. I can see both my phones left Anchorage at 8:34PM. I just can’t imagine this is true, dont they require UPS to hold items until the launch day?

They will and there are restrictions on the package. Most now are seeing the date change to 10/23/2020.

Mine still says tomorrow, but I know well enough that when apple says Friday the 23rd it will be Friday the 23rd lol. I am not the lucky type to get it early, but hey I can savor it while it lasts and before it changes lol.

Literally just got a text from UPS saying it’s delivering tomorrow between 9am and 11am (I paid the $8 for the 2 hour time window). However the last movement it shows is leaving Alaska at 8:34 on 10/19. So my guess is it gets the scan in Kentucky tonight or tomorrow morning and then goes to a local hub Thursday to be delivered Friday. Not holding out hope for tomorrow haha
