For those in the Portland area, I have a good feeling about this flight this afternoon. We shall see.

If you have a line at your UPS facility tomorrow (whoever is picking up the phone) take a picture
I'm actually excited to pick it up the time it open 8 am. Will get it before I have to leave.
If there is a line at a UPS Hub or Store tomorrow most likely caused by iPhone people jamming up the works picking up their phones. The people who may be in the line for regular pickups may not be in the best of moods because of it.
If I go to sleep now.... Maybe it will be iPhone day when I wake up!!!!

Things are moving so fast, that in the time it took you to read my reply you've already missed something important.
I'm going to try to go out to a great dinner tonight, have a couple drinks, come home and play some game of choice until 1 or 2am then when I open my eyes it'll be HappyAppleDay and THEN I'll truly let the obsession begin while I wait for my new iPhone.

Well here's what UPS online chat said. I still don't understand what happened but am crossing my fingers for a delivery tomorrow. (I'm in NYC so I'm hoping I'm not affected by the Pope's visit--I'm not in a closed zip code). Did anyone else get a delivery exception notice from UPS?
Initial Question: I received an email and text saying that a "modified intercept" request was made for my package, and that the request for this package was canceled. Can you tell me what this means? Is my package still on track for delivery to me tomorrow?'
Andrea L.: Hi, this is Andrea L.. I'll be happy to assist you.
Cheryl: thank you.
Andrea L.: Cheryl, Let me help you through this.Since the request was cancel I was checking and the delivery date would still be for tomorrow.
Andrea L.: The package should be deliver to you tomorrow.
Cheryl: Thanks for confirming. Can you tell me what this delivery exceptn was for, then?
Andrea L.: It was a future delivery enter by the shipper for the package to be deliver on 09/25/15, since the was the schedule date then it was cancel the package should be deliver tomorrow.
I got the same thing, I called to verify and the lady told me everything looks good, my phone already got to my local hub and when they scanned it they were told by the shipper(Apple) that it cant be sent out until tomorrow. So the request was cancelled. She just resubmitted the request and it now says hold for pick up and my date did not change. Weird thing is no tracking updates yet, she said thats also because of the shipper since they are not allowed to send it my way yet or in my case let me pick it up.
For the first year since the iPhone started their fall release schedule, I'm freaking out about something else the day before... public speaking tomorrow!!! At least I'll have my new phone to play with leading up to the fateful moment.
Any fellow Denver people in here? If you're stuck in Kentucky, I think we'll be on one of these two flights.

The whole "delivery date change voids the hold request" is pretty troublesome. Apple and UPS need to come up with a better system of ensuring delivery doesn't happen until launch day.

It will otherwise your tracking would have a delivery exception. UPS can get packages around with world overnight without breaking a sweat.
Glad I'm not the only one! Mine's been sitting in Harrisberg, PA, since Tuesday so I know it could have gotten here faster (not that I expected it to).

Yeah, I have one shipping out of Nashville too. Interesting thing is, I don't see UPS flying out of Nashville. Anyone know where UPS' hub is near the Nashville area?
