No love here in California. Hopefully it changes soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes an extra day. My pre order last year took a lot longer to show up in support profiles and preparing for shipment than everyone else, but still got it launch day!

I've never been able to figure out a pattern watching Apple. My confirmation email for by SG 64G 6s Plus was received 5 minutes past the start of pre-orders and I'm still at Processing Items.

Still waiting here in Seattle too. It doesn't mean anything. Heck, I don't care if I stay in processing until the 23rd, Apple will just overnight it like they did with my watch.

My gold iPhone 64gig preparing for shipment ordered the 16th

Rose Gold 64gig processing ordered the 12th at 3:06am

I know it does seem that way at times... I know we didn't do it last year with the 6 preorders but it seemed to work with all of the Apple Watch orders.. Guess iPhones are just random 🙁

It should be noted that your Order Status has nothing to do with *when* you ordered but where you live. Many warehouses in the US already have full stock of iPhones. If you live geographically close to one of these (I don't know where they are) your Order Status won't change until the night before when they overnight it to you. This has happened to me on the last two phones I've preordered.
