Oh interesting! Yeah I guess it's just luck of the draw or some super complicated algorithm.
 
Mine finally changed to Preparing for Shipment. It's still showing delivery date 09/25 :)

last year mine didn't change till day before and the ups tracking was crazy. I got it very late in the day, but still on launch day. It ended up on wrong truck, but UPS delivers!

Hub is way too far and can't take time off work this Friday so it was really my only option.

Would I love to have it Friday? Absolutely but if not no big deal as long as I have it soon.

Last year I was in the ATT preorder debacle and it was weeks later. 3 days later is good in my book and I know I am in the minority on this board :)
 
Yeah, I sent my order to a CC and it has the "! Exception". Now I'm worried I'll have to wait until Monday. :/ Anyone know if I'll still get it on Friday?

Your phone could be on any flight. Or they may ship it overnight. I'd relax and not worry about it. The consolidate tons of orders together then ship them all together on pallets. Your phone and mine are probably having a smoke, complaining about the wait.

Mind says exception too, but it says that because we changed the delivery. If the phones were going to go out for delivery from the CC, then they will be there early in the morning on the 25th. We are saving them a step by picking them up. Your delivery date should still be the 25th. It will be fine.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure. I never picked up from CC before. Last year I got my 6+ at around 8:30 pm, so I really just wanted to get it from the CC lol

I have seen so many packages show up at that CC at 3AMish and then go out for delivery at 4:30AMish. This time, instead of putting our phones on the truck to sit there all day while we pace at home, they will set the boxes aside and we can come get them when we want to Friday morning.

So I updated my shipping to go to a ups store - storefront....... Is this okay? Or does it need to be the super duper hub? Lol. Appreciate the help

Did you message Apple about the order? I was in the same boat but my order finally moved.

I checked the website by the tracking number and it just shows my change delivery request and says "on time" still so hopefully that is correct.
