We have takeoff UPS Flight 1332 Bound to Palm, Beach Florida.

Guys i got some inside info my cousin work at the sort facility and there going to send out limited amount early because of the massive amounts of EXTRA packages it going to affect Business Deliveries so there going to relive some of the extra packages they cant hold.

Someone posted a video showing UPS Worldport and how it operates. It's amazing what goes on there.

Yea haha there are two different ones that circulate, one on the History channel and one on "How do they do it?". Just watched the latter a few days ago :)

I used to do tech support for a company that supplies a lot of the computer software for their operations center. Got to see some pretty neat things :rolleyes:

And also, the increase isn't much - their peak increase targets put them at about 25.6-30mil a day during holiday time. So 2mil is a drop in the bucket.

Also look at their jets vs. trucks. I have always shipped with both companies. Domestic overnight / intl. air shipments I ALWAYS use Fedex, consistently cheaper and better equipped to handle it with their fleet. Domestic ground shipments are almost always UPS, as they have a greater network of ground sort facilities.
 
Dude relax I didn't read through over all 5000 post . I called UPS about if I can leave a note for the driver to get a signature and deliver the phone to my next door neighbour since I have to run out in the afternoon and may not be home. I'm more worried that will not be around next week if I miss the UPS driver and they will send my phone back.
I was joking with her I thought it was weird my phone is in the air for almost 36 hours . She laughed and thought it was funny when she saw it. I was not harassing UPS. I understand the staging thing . I thought maybe I would share this info so someone that might be in same boat as I see there is wont worry.
by the way ups had missed place a packages on me before and the scan was messed up it took a few days extra before I got them. If you don't like someone's post please just ignore it.
 
Changed to "Shipped" on the Apple site, and there seems to be a "Pre-Sign for Delivery" option.
 
just checked UPS again and looks like my time got updated on Friday to 10:30am, is everyone else also getting their times updated?

I am not going to spread the flames here... wasn't angry, as you can tell by my :) at the end.

Just was saying that it will be ok. I have left hand-written delivery exception notes before and they have accepted them. It doesn't have to be the Apple-specific one.

And yes, it is funny at the notion of a 36 hour flight - by all means I would love to be on it because I adore flying haha.

But I wasn't hating on your post and I wasn't trying to tick you off - was just saying reading or searching a little would have yielded a lot of the same - I have been reading this thread too long so maybe my patience got a tad thing :cool: So I am sorry lol.

But I also don't just "ignore" people's posts that sound like yours did - just trying to reassure you that you have no need to worry about it getting there, just maybe with UPS's wishy-washy delivery drivers :/

It suffered a devastating crash according to the news, the pilot escaped unharmed, however the cargo burned into a pit of flames. :(
