Has anyone in Australia got shipping verification?
Mines still on preparing for shipment..
on the other hand.. I have acquired nano sims so they should be ready to go as soon as I activate them and put it in the iphone.

From experience last time if you don't have anything on wednesday you won't get your iPhone by Friday...sorry bud
A couple of people claim to have there shipping notification on the mactalk.com.au forums but most people have not. I have confirmed with Apple that the iPhones with the delivery date 9/21 - 9/27 are in Sydney. TNT has them and they will distribute them around the country tonight. This info on the Apple site shows when you should get it. http://store.apple.com/au/help/shipping_delivery#delivery_date click the link on link that says "click here" to see what delivery zone you are in.
I know right especially the delivery people they obviously know what tomorrow is and As soon as you sign the pre-auth you waive all liability incase the package is stolen, i would assume a UPS man would easily steal an iPhone 5
Or anyone for that fact.

I am really glad to wake up this morning and see the US have officially shipped, that's great news!
Very. Just don't see that I have any other choice unless I want to wait until Monday to get it. I hope I don't regret pre-signing. I've never had a package stolen but I know Friday is a big deal launch day so it's more risky. I do plan to make a pickup run from work as soon as I get the UPS delivered notification.
Honestly man i dont think thats a wise choice! cancel the pre-sign and just call ups and explain to hold it a facility because you will be at work. or just give the excuse i will be out of town!
The UPS can steal it then when he's question he can easily deny it stating he left and he's not liable after that
I agree but UPS won't schedule a hold for pickup until the first delivery attempt has been made. If I try to schedule a hold using MyChoice first pickup date is Sept 24. ugh, what to do...ordinarily I would take the day off but I've been sick for a month with a stupid sinus infection and cracked some ribs from coughing so I've take off more time than usual.
Trust me fight with them on UPS Customer Support then ask to talk to a manager then if that fails ask to ger transfered to the sort facility manager or Call Apple and tell them to make UPS send it to a facility Apple does this all the time.
Better to be safe than sorry unless 629.99 Dollars is pocket change

Fantastic! what time did you get your "Shipped Status" - I got mine at 6pm GMT (UK time) last night.
I was wondering what time other USA users got theirs , I predicted 6pm but I have a feeling everyone got theirs in the early hours of this morning.
I just received my official "Shipped" email from Apple at 5am EST. Though the tracking info still shows that it left Anchorage 2 days ago. I'll feel better when I can see that it's officially somewhere over on the East Coast with me.
Just got the official email from Apple that my iPhones have shipped, right after the UPS plane from Louisville to New Orleans took off!

It's good you guys can use UPS to track , I can't track mine at all.
I bet you will see tracking info moving on UPS tonight! maybe around the same time tomorrow morning 3-6am
