My UPS guy just dropped off my wife's upgrade through apple.. I added a line at an ATT store today (i'm in philly btw)

I waffled on white or black but ended up picking out the White/gray Otterbox. Now I'm kinda glad I skipped the black.

I'm holding out for LifeProof cases to come out. They are less bulky than OtterBox and protect as well as them.

FYI for all of those that didn't order in the first hour.

My order that was set for Oct 5 delivery went to preparing for shipment this morning. Ordered last Friday at 6am EST for reference.

Same here. I ordered last Friday around 8am EDT. Do you think we'll get our phones before Oct 5?

NOTE: According to UPS guy the person who it's being shipped to has to be the one who signs for it.

I waited in line for the 3G but i'll never do it again for a cell phone lol. Pre-Order is the way to go.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't have the number of the local distribution center so I called the local UPS store. The very kind woman gave me the 800 number to contact UPS and told me to hit 0# so I could talk to a person.

Talked to the guy over the phone and he said I could have my package picked up at will call today at the local distribution center, just needed to give my phone number so that they can call when it's available for pick up.

Looks like it's going to to turn out well!

But really, good to see they're coming a bit earlier. Last year I did wait all day and ended up getting nervous at about 6 pm. By 7:30 UPS showed up.
