Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Ok, so I ordered my phone on September 12th. It seems like everyone is seeing their package numbers and tracking information while their phone is still "Preparing for Shipment" .. however, I'm not.

I ordered a Phone Case on Monday. My phone case information and all shows up in UPS, as arriving tomorrow.

I've done what everyone else did as far as tracking my reference, yet only my phone case appears.

It's Wednesday night, and my phone is still preparing for shipment with no UPS information, no FedEX information.

Should I be worried? Or will a miracle happen tomorrow and UPS going to Next Day it?

When checking by reference, set the dates to 9/17 (or any date range that's after the case was shipped).

That makes no difference.. The default is already two weeks out, it should show any packages you have coming to your address on the calendar displayed.

It throws an error if there's more then one shipment: ">>>More than one shipper is using the reference you entered. Narrow your search by using the qualifiers below."

When I changed the date to after the case was shipped it narrows down to just the phone.

Call UPS...

Call 800-742-5877 and ask for a call-back from your local UPS Distribution Center. Explain that you'd rather pick up than have delivered. It helps to have the Tracking # and see if it is actually there, first! Mine called back within an hour (blocked number) and said I could do a will-call for Friday... without any waiting time as is on the website.

Did anyone's charge for the iPhone just disappear off of their credit card? Mine did.

My phone is still in Rialto and Apple still shows preparing for shipment. The processing charge also disappeared off my account but I've read that this is normal. I don't know how much movement I'm going to see since Rialto is only 30 minutes away.

Harrisburg is only about an hour and some change from where my phone is being shipped to and mine left there around 3:03pm. Why can't it just show up early? haha

I'm still of the belief that the scans are inaccurate for the latest flight that arrived and departed anchorage. The times don't match up at all, I think it's a crap shoot until pallets are broken down and out to local delivery drivers.

Mine is still showing a pending payment for the amount of the phone, and my Apple Store account status for the order is "Processing Items" but "Available 9/19".

Every once in awhile I see a UPS truck in my neighborhood past 7PM. I am convinced we are dead last on their route.

Looked up my tracking info using the UPS reference tracking...as of 6:05pm est my iphone 6 has left Harrisburg PA with a departure scan....but apples order status says still preparing for shipment

I'm signing up for myups choice. Wtf. It tells me I need an activation code. 2-5 business days. How come it just doesn't send it via email. That's stupid.

Finally my phone has left Harrisburg and is headed to the west coast. So excited!!

My issue is, I'm going out of town to PA this weekend.

I wanted my phone in hand on Friday evening before I left Friday night. LOL.

That's why I seem so pressed about it right now. I do understand factors such as traffic and more can delay a delivery.

Here it is Wednesday night and it's still "preparing for shipment" for delivery on 9/19 and no info is showing in UPS, even with My Choice.

My phone departed from Harrisburg PA. Considering i'm < 200 miles away I'd envision most likely the next stop will be my local distribution center.

Hi Canadians,

My apple account still shows preparing for shipment. I found my serial number showing on "My support profile", while I have not received the invoice from Apple nor could I track by my phone number or order number minus the last two digits.

Piece of good news-I called Apple customer service this afternoon, and they guaranteed that the phone should be delivered on Friday. They claimed that we would see a change into "shipped" by tomorrow evening. I hope it is true.


Any one from Canada has a status changed into "shipped" or could track on either UPS or Fedex?
