Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

My Apple order for a 128 Space Gray 6+ just went to preparing for shipping!
Still says it will ship in 7-10 business days for delivery Oct 1-7, which is what it's said all along.
Anyone had theirs update to "preparing to ship" and had the delivery time advance? I don't care about release day delivery, but if it arrives by Oct 30 I can take it to Verizon and swap to their much cheaper promotional Single Line Plan.

Starting to get antsy
This is getting worrisome. My order status still is "Preparing for Shipment." My card has already been charged (not a hold, a straight-up charge), and this morning I received the email from AT&T about the terms of the contract.
However, still nothing from Apple, and no tracking info. I live in Puerto Rico (no idea if this has to do with anything). I was hoping to get the tracking info so I could set up a "Will Call" (not really wanting to be stuck in the office hoping to see a brown truck up front sometime during the day).
I ordered early morning on the 12th (iPhone 6, 64 gb), and ever since my delivery date has been on the 19th. I know this morning a few people were in the same status as me; but as the day has progressed I've seen basically all posters with their tracking info. Is anyone still in the same status as me?

If you ordered during the morning on the 12th you should be fine. Have you tried tracking by reference on the UPS website?
Yes my amex hasn't been charged and the pending charge was dropped yesterday but my phone is going through the system - just left Maryland headed to Richmond, VA at 1144 today EST. I'm not sure what the delay is....they have posted the charge for my case already. It's scheduled to be delivered today.

I don't know what to do!! Seems like a lot of people are doing the will call thing so that for sure means a line at UPS...but my delivery says "by end of day" and I'm not sure when I'll actually get it 'cause UPS comes twice in my neighborhood..once in the morning around 10AM and then again at 5PM....for my iPhone 5, it came at 10:20AM 'cause it said "by 10:30AM" on the estimated delivery but not the case this time..
the UPS will call center at my location opens at 8am but i live in the dc-metro area so i have a feeling the line will be long..hmmm decisions, decisions..thoughts?

I'm on the East Coast - PERHAPS a coincidence that both the Status change AND the Conf. email arrived within minutes after 12 noon. Depending on your time zone your status changes could occur at noon YOUR time.
