Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

The trip from Anchorage to anywhere in the eastern US is a damned long trip. My boyfriend's brother lives there and has come to visit us down here before.
I don't know what to do!! Seems like a lot of people are doing the will call thing so that for sure means a line at UPS...but my delivery says "by end of day" and I'm not sure when I'll actually get it 'cause UPS comes twice in my neighborhood..once in the morning around 10AM and then again at 5PM....for my iPhone 5, it came at 10:20AM 'cause it said "by 10:30AM" on the estimated delivery but not the case this time..
the UPS will call center at my location opens at 8am but i live in the dc-metro area so i have a feeling the line will be long..hmmm decisions, decisions..thoughts?
Do you just want it asap? If you knew it would be delivered in the PM would you choose to wait in the UPS line in the AM?

aha so i guess it'll be ready at 8 in the morning to just walk in and pick up
sure it wont be that easy
yeah aha probably not ill probably wait until later in the day to go. maybe the line will die down
My 6+ 128GB Space Gray had the same estimated delivery and available to ship and it just changed from "Processing order" to "Preparing for shipment" this morning. Here is to hoping it comes far sooner than the estimated delivery date...
UPS hasn't filed the flight plan for it yet. It will likely depart KSDF in the overnight hours.
No buddy I'm still waiting too. Don't worry though I spoke to my friend at my local apple store and he said we will get it later today or in the wee hours of the morning. The phones are at the store and they just have to scan them in and match up or reservation. We are guaranteed though. They said they have plenty of stock at my local store so rest assured we are getting our phones.
I am in Southern Virginia. Mind you, it's only 5 1/2 hours from Harrisburg, PA.
However, my status for my phone Still "Preparing for Shipment" Delivers 9/19 Standard Shipping
UPS My Choice isn't showing any information when I track by reference.
Neither is FedEx.
I don't know if my card was charged or not, because I am unable to check my balance at the moment.

Are they doing these in the order of which they are received or what?
It's 12:56PM EST and I still have no updated information from Apple.com or UPS.
Was I one of the unlucky ones that didn't make the cut & they just haven't updated to a new delivery time? Or?
This is my first time pre-ordering a phone. I've ordered things from Apple before, and never had an issue like this. My phone case is en route to me right now for delivery so I shall see it on my door step within the next hour or two. I ordered that on 9/15, Shipped 9/16.

My phone departed from Harrisburg pa at 1215am to ny and still no update this morning wtf! Lol
confused, you ordered from apple app? i rec'd email @ 12:45 PST but was in app as soon as i posted here around 12:15 PST spent that time trying to order
what date does yours say for shipping? if it states 9/19, you will get it
my pending charge fell off my amex so don't worry as long as you have a ship date of 9/19, you will be fine, what time did you place order at?
mine is set for delivery tomm and i have not been charged either
