Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Everyone should keep in mind that some of these shipment delays are likely automated systems that bump a day when the package isn't in X location by X time. It's likely they don't account for the special planes/trucks that are being run.

Two years ago, by the time I received a tracking number my phone was on the truck for delivery. Last year, my phone looked like it was going to miss launch day but they it magically made it to my house even though it didn't land at the local airport until like 9 AM.
 
Shipping info updated for a Montreal, Canada delivery :D

UPS always passes between 10-11am, excited isn't the word!!

This is 59th and 5th ave apple store in manhattan right now

btw, does anyone know if they'll start selling at midnight since this is a 24 hr store?

Second screenshot is of my tracking from a third party tracking site that shows an additional scan in Philly. It is marked with an end icon and I'm worried something got messed up. I'm located not far from NYC. Confused.

I have the same exact thing. Mine is en route to NYC and I checked packagemapping cuz it wasn't updated since 1215am last night and I have the scan at philly too

My shipment has the same status as yours. :(

I'm near Seattle.
 
Dammit, I can't track any activity in the 50 miles between where UPS picked up my iPhone and where it's being delivered. I feel left out not being able to track the flight the package is on or see a bunch of UPS scans...

Actually I'm just waiting patiently. :cool:

My APPLE order status says preparing for shipment now. How can I check track status yet on ups or Fedex with out the official tracking number yet? Help please
 
My phone left Harrisburg and is now sitting in Jamaica
In early morning it will go to farmingdale and then out for delivery!

So I talked to the rep. Order isn't cancelled but he said that it was delayed because they "needed information" from AT&T to ship it. Apparently that takes a week. The guy was nice enough but that's ridiculous.

Upside: Gave me a free case over the ordeal.

Hope you manage to get yours if you are still going the iPhone route.
 
So far all the screenshots I've seen for UPS tracking the iPhone 6 plus are showing 1.3lbs for it's weight. Mine says 1.1lbs.
Is that normal?

Did you happen to speak to a guy named Cody? This is exactly what he told me. He said I needed to call AT&T. I called and AT&T said nothing was wrong. I called Apple back, talked to another rep who said it would take a couple days.

I asked for her manager and he said he would talk to someone in shipping and call me back. He called me back 20 minutes later to say they had to "reset" my eligibility (whatever the heck that means) and my order had to be cancelled.

I REALLY hope they don't do this to you but right now, I would take anything they tell you with a grain of salt. I don't think they know what they're doing.

instead of your phone #, use the Apple order # minus the last two digits, i.e. W1234567
