Once I had the same issue. 3:30am. Apple Store down. Ordered at AT&T, they shipped 3 weeks late. Already had bought one at a local retail store.

Don't buy from the carriers. No sense of urgency or stock.

For iphone5 it was down like this even after 12:15am pst. But last year for ipad air it was a breeze ordering right at 12:01am pst.

Got a 6+ 128GB Space Gray on Verizon site. Got the pre-order screen about 1 minute before the hour and got order confirmation screen at 4 minutes after the hour. Apple store is still showing "We'll be back" for me. I preordered my iPhone 5 from Verizon for the the same reason two years ago with no problems. This was the best preorder experience yet.

Delivery shows 9/19/2014 so I'm a happy camper for now.

i was able to make it to the sign in for my account at apple.com and then it went down for me and told me the store was closed….wtf

Finally got Apple.coms to work on east coast.

I think the 6+'s are getting the 14-21 day message. I got 7-10 on my 6 from AT&T.
Anyone else getting charged 339.99? What's the extra 39.99 when the activation fee is supposed to be on the bill? Says tax is TBD..

apple store still down on my PC both firefox and chrome. Was up on my ipad though (through safari not the app). Just placed my order with no delays like it was just a normal day.

Seriously this didn't happen for you. All my devices say the same thing (we will be right back)

seemed like everything worked... ordered a gold and space gray 6 Plus 128gb from verizon like 5 minutes before 3am, haven't gotten a confirmation email yet but got an order completed page with an order number....

It's down with Safari on my iPad too. I'm not sure if you're serious.

You have to use the back button and refreshing. Server propagation is slow with Apple.
