I am in the Boston area as well and have the same estimated date (EOD Thursday). I was hoping that since its already close, maybe they get it to us a day earlier!?!?
Hm. UPS still saying my phone will arrive today, and apparently still within the next 30-150 minutes...despite my phone apparently still sitting in Louisville, where it's been since 1:34am. I'm holding out irrational hope that my decision to pick a 2 hour delivery window has resulted in my phone just not getting scanned anywhere since arriving in Louisville but I am fully aware that that is probably total nonsense and that I'm not getting my phone today after all.

Mine made it there by 1:45am, and hasn't left. Showed a delivery date of yesterday, which has been updated for today by 'end-of-day'. Would be nice, but being New York City, I don't see how they would load up a 2nd truck of stuff after the first one for this neighborhood leaves the warehouse... Apple needs to create it's own delivery service :-(

I was one of the unlucky who pre-ordered with att and then got cancelled for some wack reason.
Then turned to Apple for pre-order with shipment with AT&T next. Successful. Saturday after launch day - my 6+ gold 64gb was available for pick up.. Cancelled my shipping order.. Only to come to find that you can not pre order with pick up with AT&T Next. Now I'm waiting for my shipment. Oct 21-28

Yeah... in the past I've found Apple pre-order delivery dates to be somewhat accurate -- AT&T's not-so-much...Glad I steered clear from AT&T then.
Same I'm in western PA and for some reason my 6+ took a detour to CA this morning. I thought it was on a flight to KY like all the other it had followed so far. I guess I'm not going to see it today since as of 9:30a EDT it's still sitting over there.
Mine got a departure scan and I just passed a double trailer UPS truck on the highway with a US Department of Transport number (I'm in Canada, so it came from the states coming to the depot). My tracking just updated to before noon.
Truck and I both stopped at the same rest stop, felt like sneaking around to the back.
Those of you whos phones are stuck in Louisville since early this morning like mine, did you select expedited shipping (extra charge) or standard shipping (free) when you ordered your phone from Apple. I opted for standard which is why I won't get it till Thurs the 25th to So. CA.
If I would of selected expedited shipping I'm sure I would be getting it today.

I was expecting mine today per UPS tracking information and had a "hold for pickup" order on it. When I went to get it, the UPS rep said that UPS never got the package, and that all the tracking "scans" were estimates. All they know is that a shipping label was printed in China.
So, they said the only option was to call . They said they had to open an shipping investigation and that it will be another day before I hear anything on that. Then once that is complete, it could take much more time to get it. Pretty frustrating when you pay top dollar for your device! With case and tax for a 6+ 128GB, well over $1100. And I have nothing to show for it except charges on my American Express. Very unhappy, .

I'm in the same boat... stuck in Korea now for 2 days and it looks like it missed the flight this evening to Anchorage? Still says 9/25 delivery date, but guessing thats not gonna happen now.
Don't waste your time going to UPS live chat to inquire about your iPhone, all they do is read the information off their tracking website.

They were pretty detailed "estimates" (Shanghai, Osaka, Anchorage, Louisville). I think those pallets were scanned in those locations and now it really is sitting in Louisville ready for a flight sometime today. I still think I'll get it tomorrow.
When I ordered around 3:45am EDT 9/12, I clicked on the shipping options link, but the only choice was standard shipping, expedited was greyed out.
The other message above that mentioned the UPS person said the scans were all estimates...that's not true, all scans are real. They may a "scan" of a plane that has your package, not the package itself. There might be a misplaced container/pallet of iphones that didn't get on a plane it was supposed to, but all the phones on all the different planes being mis-scanned? They are just sitting in Louisville.
I think the phones are just going through normal shipping (not expedited), as all Apple promised me was delivery Oct 1- Oct 6. It seems UPS's system decided to get everyone's hopes up by putting best case/fastest case delivery dates on their system when that's not what was going to happen. Just my 2 cents.

In other news, I too preordered from AT&T, only to get canceled because my plan isn't eligible for a new line. Except that I was upgrading, not adding a new line. Tried it again, canceled again. No probs with Apple - got my early upgrade discount, but I didn't get the cancellation notice from AT&T until the next day, so my Apple order was placed on the 13th. Stuck in Oct 14-21 land for my 6+ 64 Gold.
